2019 was not my year.  The game did not make as much progress as I had hoped for.

I experienced some big problems with my professional life at work. There were some very costly bottlenecks with getting 2D/3D art completed due to many factors.

However, this is a time to reflect on what went right and what I achieved last year.

  • Character System 2.0 - I added a new 3D model for females and improved overall performance.
  • New Tech Releases - I introduced intermediary builds that show off tech for patrons.
  • Interaction Animations - I added animations when picking up/placing items in the world for more engagement.
  • Save/Load Screens - I finally added the screens to manage your save files.
  • Applied New UI Theme - All the screens look more polished and like they belong together.
  • Added Render Zones - I included new post render effects and transitions between zones (Bloom, Ambient Occlusion, Depth Of Field, etc).
  • Graphics Options - I added a screen to disable above render effects for slower PCs.
  • New Dialogue System - Bye bye Mass Effect dialogue wheel
  • Level Streaming - I added the ability to move between game levels without loading screens.
  • Day/Night System - I allowed you to change between Morning, Midday and Night.

Looking back I can be proud that I conquered some of the more technically challenging systems in the game.

Still a ways to go, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have come up with some ideas of how to tighten the process for hiring and delivering art.

Expect big things for 2020.

Until next time, hunters.
