Because I can't find it in me to be rude to the people who ask Vilka for a reading, he's become significantly less grumpy and mysterious; I wanted to add a couple other fortune telling methods to his repertoire to reflect his newfound goofiness (although the Chinese Fortune Telling Sticks and the Fortune Fish were mentioned in his original write-up). I love doing burn/decay effects because they're simple to do but always end up looking rad as hell and everyone is impressed. Meanwhile, that Panicking Fish animation took me like an hour, but only because I kept forgetting to save the separate frames before erasing stuff for the next one. If a reading/interaction request doesn't get at least one new or unique sprite, I try to do a little two or three-frame animation to make it special.
