From My Camera Roll (Patreon)

This week has felt like I'm finally back in my regular routine following all the exciting adventures of September and October. Here's what's on my camera roll from this week.

October Livestream (cherry blossom tier)

On the Cherry Blossom Tier we enjoyed a lovely, atmospheric painting of a crow in a nest of branches. It was a great session where we tried out Bokeh techniques and creating a sense of depth. The recording is available to watch any time.

Watercolour Hang out (wild rose and cherry blossom tier)

A slightly later than scheduled hang out due to my calendar strangely deleting some of my events (all sorted now!) We painted a really fun pumpkin and enjoyed a nice chat about the differences between the US and the UK in celebrating halloween as well as news from my french painting trip! The recording is available to watch any time.

Reverse Colouring with the nieces

We went down to Cornwall for a night to see my brother and his family. My neices are so creative and they played a key role in developing my book 'Draw Your Way'. It's so great to see them enjoying the finshed article!

A new/old hobby

I have always enjoyed patchwork quilting but it's been at least a decade since I had a go. I was so inspired by the quilting stories of the ladies on my French Painting Retreat (coinciding with a sewing morning with my friends back in the UK) I dug out my childhood blanket 'MeMe' which, as long as I can remember, has been a pile of rags rather than a complete quilt. I am going to piece it back together replacing the threadbare patches with new ones from treasured scraps in my fabric basket. I've only been going for two days but I can't stop!

This week on Youtube

As promised, this feature is replacing the close friends stories on instagram to show you first what we are painting on Youtube and Patreon before anyone else. First a really fun and simple haunted house, then for the Patreon Watercolour Challenge (sweet pea tier) we're doing a lovely detailed study of horse chestnuts and finally a gorgeous little fox in a witches hat for Halloween day itself.

If you like the look of any of these painting projects, you can simply edit your membership to the right tier and enjoy all of the content from the very start!
