Hi everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend. I'm really enjoying this feature as it gives me a chance to look back at all the fun things I get to do in the name of work!

Winter Watercolour Workshops

I had the pleasure of teaching a private watercolour workshop for a Florist and her team as an end of year celebration. It was a lovely opportunity to try out all sorts of new ideas for simple Christmas cards.

A curious workshop venue

That very workshop was held in a poly tunnel! My first time! We were lucky that the weather was fine although we did get a bit dripped on at times! Paint took a rather long time to dry so while I loved the novelty I dont recommend it as an ideal painting location!

Escargot!

I spent the weekend in Burgundy in France for a potential future project and was taken out to some wonderful towns. Beaune was in full festive mode with the annual wine auction taking place (hosted by Jean Reno!). I was coaxed into trying snails for the first time!! I was assured these snails were extremely good quality so if I was ever going to try, now would be the time. They reminded me of Mussels and were lovely with lots of garlic and parsley butter.

Foreign Language Copies

I found both my and Meera's (my sister in law) books in French whilst in Beaune!

This week on Youtube

We have a lovely simple scandi Christmas tree card design and a glowing snowy lamppost! I'm putting together the digitising your artwork tutorial for Patreon's watercolour challenge now!

Bravo Brave Girl for trying the snails! Sounds like you were in very capable hands there! We enjoyed a beautiful presentation at Le Coupe Choux while we were in Paris. Plump and tasty, swimming in devine amounts of butter, garlic, and parsley. 😋
