Hello everyone, I hope you're enjoying the festive break. Ant and I enjoyed a cosy new year's eve with some star wars and a lovely meal before getting into bed before midnight! I love to downplay new year's otherwise New year's day feels a bit pressurised and important, when really it's just another day (and a very windy and wet one where we are.)

Ant and I both volunteer at an animal shelter (which is where we met Crumble and our previous dog Kala). There is nothing more grounding than spending time with animals who couldn't care less about new year's resolutions and are instead happy with the simplest things in life; warmth, food and a few cuddles. There is also something rather pleasant about clean slates and fresh starts but here at Patreon we wont be setting goals for 2025, after all, it's all about enjoying the process over focussing on the finished piece. I just hope you continue to enjoy the content we're creating for you and participate in as many sessions, polls, forums, livestreams, hangouts and classes as you can.

In January - like every month - we have one livestream class (cherry blossoms), 2 watercolour hang outs (wild rose and cherry blossoms)  weekly Watercolour challenge filmed tutorials (Sweet Pea, Wild Rose and Cherry Blossom), weekly From my Camera Roll (Daisy, Sweet Pea, Wild Rose and Cherry Blossom) but just for this month we skip You Choose Youtube as I often find January is a great opportunity to pick a few of your suggestions from the previous year that didn't make the cut. It's also a good time to paint gently and not take on big, ambitious projects.

As a special New Year's Day treat, there is a lovely tutorial on Youtube at 5:30pm with the perfect, playful answer to the question of what to paint. Make sure you're subscribed to my channel (it's free!) so you never miss another Youtube tutorial.

Don't forget, you can edit your membership and change tiers for however long you like.

Happy new year to you both. You have introduced me and many others to the world of watercolour. Thank you so much and keep going in 2025.

Hi Harriet, Happy New Year to you and yours. I agree volunteering is very rewarding but extra special with animals.

Hi Beverly, did you click the download link at checkout? That gives you the calendar page pdfs that you can then print off at home or take to a local print shop. If you didnt see the download link just let me know and I can email you.

Hi Beverly, I tend to paint on 6x8 inch paper or thereabouts as that is the size of paper that best fits on screen!

It happened the same to me! I have the videos but for some reason was unaware of the pdf download and now I cannot access it... can you email it to me please?

Happy New Year everyone! Last year I started my Patreon subscription and it turns out this has been one of the best things I did for self care in 2024! I love to have so many posts for inspiration, getting to connect with Harriet and some other members of this community in the hangouts, the live classes, the previous challenges, you tube, Insta... it is all great! I cannot wait to see what is in store for 2025! Grab your paints and let's get started people!!!
