Hi everyone,

In a Patreon first, I'm giving you all a preview of what is coming up on the (Sweet Pea and above tiers) watercolour challenge this week. We are going to make a Victorian Puzzle Purse.

It's going to be a two parter so you can have it ready for Valentines Day but it's a beautiful little project which would work as a special card for any occasion.

In my preparation I discovered that our regular 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper is too thick to easily fold. Instead I found an old pad of sketching paper 95gsm/65lb (pictured). It takes the simple watercolour illustrations brilliantly and most importantly, folds very easily.

So, if you would like to have a go at this project on Wednesday you will need to source some paper that's a bit thinner than our normal high quality watercolour paper. I don't think it needs to be as thin as the paper I've used but maybe have a rummage in your supplies in advance of Wednesday.

If you would like to join in for this very special Valentines Card project you can edit your membership on your account page.

Harriet is there a place that shows the monthly dates and times of the challenges and lives?

All challenges are posted on a Wednesday morning and all livestream classes are 4pm on a Sunday chosen by the cherry blossoms. Then the livestream watercolour hang outs are worked out each month around when the cherry blossom livestream is. We have the collections to group the past tutorials by theme
