We travelled to the Grand Tetons last night in the watercolour hang out, painting wonderful wildlife photos taken by Ant (my husband) on our trip to Wyoming and Montana last Autumn. Here is one of the paintings, sped up with a rather fitting little soundtrack.

The Watercolour Hang outs are a brilliant way of approaching watercolour painting in a relaxed, low stakes manner. We have a nice chat and a good laugh while having a go at some surprise topics. It doesnt matter how much or how little you paint, it's just about showing up and having a go. Patrons who come to watercolour hang outs have identified it as one of the most effective ways to improve their painting and creative confidence.

If you would like to try it just edit your membership to the Wild Rose tier in your account page. You have access to recordings of all our previous livestreams too!

It’s amazing to watch you build this loose style of paintings…and such a handsome subject! Great pic Ant, as well as a fantastic painting!

Thanks Betsi. The watercolour hang out is the one place that I feel brave enough to paint straight on to the page with no pencil. The whole point of this session is to push you to try things you might otherwise be scared to do with your painting!

Harriet, did I not get notified of this hang out because I’m in a different tier?

It was amazing to watch the transformation from a clean piece of paper, then filling it with colors to create the beautiful creature.
