Hi everyone, here's what's been going on at de Winton Paper co HQ this week

Back to Wyoming

We enjoyed painting some very special photos in last weeks Watercolour Hangout. We used some of Ant (my husband)'s photos from our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. It was such a fun session and a great opportunity to practise animals in their natural habitat. You can watch the recording of my painting screen back here (you need to be on the Wild Rose or Cherry Blossom tier to access)

Creative Community

I had a lovely sunny coastal walk with my friend Lyndsey Gribble who is an amazing calligrapher under the business title Wild Sea Calligraphy . She makes beautiful products (the enamel mug in the next shot is one of hers) and she teaches! Her Patreon is a fantastic option if you're looking to learn calligraphy.

Baking time!

I'm not a particuarly confident baker but I've become pretty competent with a few oft repeated recipes. Here are my hot cross buns! I use this recipe from the King of the Bake off, Paul Hollywood himself!

Deer in the Forest

On Youtube this tuesday we have this delightful little scene which was a You choose youtube request as well as doubling up as a great Mothers Day card idea (Mothers day in the UK is on 30th March).

Spring Flowers

We launched Youtube Channel membership for anyone keen to support the Youtube channel. We matched the price to the Patreon Daisy tier and offered a similar set of perks. The Youtube members have the chance to vote for one Youtube tutorial a month, choosing between two Patron suggestions. They chose a spring floral arrangement over some detailed veg. We're so grateful to all of you supporting us so we can continue this as our full time occupation!

Your photos

I always say, tag me on social media if you are posting paintings from my tutorials. I reposted this one such photo from a follower on instagram and my DMs went crazy! Just in case you were also wondering where you can learn these paintings, they are from my book A Year of Watercolour.
