Hi everyone, you are getting the first look at our brand new painting project! Every year, after doing the watercolour advent calendar I'm inundated with requests to come up with a similar project for a different time of the year. I've had this idea in my back pocket for a few years and now felt like the perfect time! We've been painting the mini flower tutorials for a few months now so you're all nicely warmed up to have a go at the Paint Your Own Floral Alphabet!

Paint along with me on my Youtube Channel from May 1st as we roll out a tutorial for each letter every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We will save them all in a 'Floral Alphabet' playlist that will remain accessible indefinitely. You don't need to follow along every day, you can save them up to paint at a later date. Once the tutorial has launched on Youtube it is available to watch any time.

Just like the advent calendar, we are selling an A4 template sheet with the faint letter outlines printed on 300gsm Tintoretto Gesso (same as the advent calendar) so you don't need to worry about drawing any lettering!

Get your copy here! before May 1st and paint along on Youtube.

We also have a digital version if your printer can take watercolour paper which is Free to Patrons and attached to this post, below.

This Paint Your Own Floral Alphabet is an A4 sheet with faint letter outlines printed onto Tintoretto Gesso paper, ready to be painted on!

Each Youtube tutorial will list what paints and brushes I'm using to create each letter's floral masterpiece.

Need brushes? I will be using the 'Detail Paintbrush set' available here.

Included: A4 (21x29.7cm) alphabet template printed on 300gsm Tintoretto Gesso paper stock (I use the exact same paper in the filmed tutorials) and a Flyer with a list of what you need to get started

Not included: Any art materials

I love this so much! I’m so excited to paint with you on this project! I already have your brush set (they are wonderful to paint with - had them for a year or so) I just ordered a second set because I’ve used my first set so much I need to give them a break 😂. I’ll be waiting and ready to begin May 1st 🌸

Love 💕 Love 💕 Love 💕 … are those snapdragons on the S ? That would make our Savannah Snapdragons so happy if Kathleen and I could paint them as your devoted Patrons 🩷💛🧡 On closer inspection, Kathleen and I suspect these are sweet peas, still adorable!

Thank you Harriet for creating this beautiful project. I just finished purchasing your brushes and now realize that I don’t have access to Tintoretto Gesso paper. What watercolor paper would you recommend? I have both Arches hot and cold available.

de Winton Paper co.

I would recommended cold pressed as long as it's not rough texture. hot would be fine too for this as it's little illustrations

Hi Harriet, where can I purchase the tintoretto gesso card for this project.

de Winton Paper co.

It’s actually even better if you can print it onto regular watercolour paper

Susann

Dear Harriet, is there any chance of getting the letters with a black border? Since my printer can't print on watercolor paper, I would like to trace the letters to watercolor paper (and the grey is too light).

Hi Susann, Yes I've added an attachment of a strong dark lettering version to this post.

Susann

Thank you! :-)

Beautiful project Harriet, I’ll be doing A tomorrow!!
