I have had so much fun coming up with seasonal content this week. Lots of Easter fun!
Mothers Day Card making 1
I have a few women in my life that need mothers day cards from me so I had a good rifle through my folder of paintings and came up with some really nice designs. This icelandic poppy card has to be a favourite: if you have a painting of a full page of flowers, why not cut out all the little gaps (either by hand or cricut/silhouette), put a little folded stand on the back with a watercolour paper off cut, and you have an extremely chic card!
Mothers Day Card making 2
Do you recognise these two paintings from recent tutorials! It's such a good idea to hold on to anything you paint, even if you don't love it. It can be a brilliant card making component!
Spring
It's been a very family orientated weekend for me. I went to see my Dad singing in a concert that was themed all around spring and nature. it was so inspiring. We went on a lovely sunny walk with hawthorn blossom bursting out everywhere!
Family ties
My mum handed down a very special family fob (the triangular bit of jewerly) to me this mothers day. On its base is a flat piece of precious stone carved with an inscription that would have been a wax seal back in the day. I'm so thrilled to wear it.
Floral Alphabet
Wow, what a response to our launch of the floral alphabet! Thank you! Tomorrow we are announcing it to the world. The tutorials start on May 1st on Youtube. Get your copy here (paid Patrons get a free digital download).
MAB Watercolours 1 & 2
This week on Youtube I'm reviewing a new set of metallic watercolours from MAB Watercolour who I've worked with a few times. This set is the Pastel set! Review video on Thursday.
