It's been a busy week of community based projects, I've possibly been spreading myself a bit thin and have come down with a rather nasty cold so I'm going to try and rest this week. Please be patient with replies and Discord xx

Easter Craft morning at Mum's Church

I like to help my Mum out with her church fundraising as it's in real need of help. The stain glass window fund last year went really well, but now the roof is falling in! So I offered my services to teach some drop in watercolour classes on Saturday and it was non stop! Possibly the start of getting a cold! It was a lovely day though, great to see so many people using the building.

Gingham Quick Cards

At the craft morning I taught a version of this card which I have put on Youtube for a tutorial tomorrow. We painted a more complex version of this a few weeks ago and I love the simplified version!

Carrot Cake!

For the Patreon watercolour challenge we are embarking on a new 2 parter this week, painting a sweet illustrated recipe card for a carrot cake recipe. If you want to have a go at this, make sure you're signed up to the sweet pea tier or above.

Spring Wreath

It was lovely to create a different kind of Spring wreath for Thursday's tutorial, using tutorials from A Year of Watercolour

Painting Demo in Seaton

I've just spent a lovely afternoon performing a painting demonstration for the Seaton Artist's Society. I woke up this morning feeling pretty terrible but most worryingly I didn't have much of a voice! ( you will be able to hear that over the next two week's worth of filmed tutorials). Thankfully they had a microphone so I could talk as I painted and describe the painting process of building this floral composition.

These colds must be going around - even across the pond. I’ve had one for two weeks and I’m just feeling better now. And yes, rest is the best medicine, aside from some super cold/flu pills. Be well.

Get well soon Harriet. Everyone needs breaks

Hope you feel better soon - hot honey and lemon (with a dash of something stronger if you want) - it doesn't cure you but you feel better 🙂. Well done on the fundraising - a craft day is a great idea!
