This week has been quite astonishing. Our bodies are so intuitive and last week mine just said STOP! ENOUGH! Running your own business can result in overworking but even I admit that it was getting a bit silly. I can't remember the last time, if ever, I have had 6 straight days off work and been in bed for most of it.

Nurse Crumble

When I wasn't in bed I was on our sunlounger in the garden. The weather was amazing last week and it aided my rest in a magical way. Snuggled in a blanket, cap and sunglasses watching the swallows circle overhead with Crumble by my side made the whole experience a lot easier.

Reading material

Whilst doing nothing I watched the Monte Carlo Masters (tennis) and the Masters (golf) although last night I was glad to have an early curfew as I could not handle the drama! I also read a book I bought over a decade ago by celebrated modern artist Sir Grayson Perry called Playing to the Gallery. He has a real talent at helping the wider culture understand the art world and understand what it's for.

This week on Youtube

Fortunately I had planned to do a double filming week last week for other reasons so I've been given another day's grace for recovery today. This week on Youtube we have a lovely cowslip flower and an Easter egg nest with blossom.

Easter on Social Media

I've got some rather delightful mini social media tutorials for Easter crafts so look out for those!

Mini Flower Tutorials

My illness has prevented me thus far to re edit (and most crucially voiceover) the new mini flower tutorials. As soon as I have a voice back - which I hope will be in a few days - I will start rolling those out on Patreon.

Colour Swatches

I've eased myself gently back to work today and felt very lucky that one task required the simple repetitive task of colour swatching for a possible collaboration. It's so lovely to play with new colours!

Get well soon Harriet! You always astonish me on how much you do. The verges and fields here in Norfolk are abundant. with cowslips at the moment and you captured them beautifully. Rest up and take care of yourself.

Take good care Harriet, aren’t our sweet pets the best when we aren’t well? ❤️‍🩹 Indeed a drama-filled afternoon of golf but we watched it all unfold to a very happy result. So much class and grace on display by your countryman following the playoff. 💚

Jacqueline Bauer

Take it slow getting back to work. We tend to get back even working harder and reversing any good the respite provided. Feel better soon.

Monica

Take this rare fraction of time to take care of yourself first, Crumble is probably secretly enjoying recuperating while lounging in the sunshine! The Masters was fabulous!!!!

Such beautiful images, I especially love the nest and hen cake toppers! Wishing you a full recovery really soon Harriet xx

Erin Berlin

I'm glad you took the time to heal instead of pushing through it. Wishing you a full recovery ❤️

Be good to yourself. I am really enjoying the mini flowers but have fallen behind so a bit of a break for you is ok on this end. Sweet Nurse Crumble.

Peggy Ulm

So glad you are getting well needed rest. Our bodies sometimes know what’s best when we don’t. I grew up in Augusta Ga and have always loved watching the Masters. It was awesome this year congrats to Rory well deserved.

Cindy Lamb

Get well soon, Harriet! Crumble is good medicine.

Wendy Watkiss

I’m glad you’re feeling better, I’ve had it too. I normally solder on but not this time. I’m thinking I should get a Crumble, I’ve got 2 rescue house guinea pigs who were as demanding as ever & just didn’t give me any sympathy 😂

Sharon

Oh Harriet I’m sorry to hear that you weren’t feeling well but happy to hear that you’re on the mend! How lovely to have Crumble as your nurse! Take it easy and rest!💐

Marie

Hope you’re much better now. X
