Birthday Fun

I felt like I won the lottery this weekend, We had my proper 40th birthday party at Le Vin Perdu (which some of you will know from painting it back in January in the watercolour challenges!) and it was perfect all round.

Playing with Colour

next week in the watercolour challenges I'm starting a little series on colour. It's so important to revisit the fundamentals of watercolour painting in between the big painting projects. I'm so excited about these upcoming videos because they have really helped me demystify certain elements of colour theory and picking colours for composition colour palettes. All will be revealed next week as this week we're finishing off our piece on Pynes House.

Colour Palette sneak peek

With these sessions you will be able to map colour palettes from reference photos, mix new colours and then put these new harmonious colour selections into new pieces. If you would like to try it, just edit your membership to the Sweet Pea tier.

Inspiration everywhere

I sat down with a tin of homemade cookies, a birthday present from a baker friend last night and was really struck by the pretty patterns on both the tin and the mug. Inspiration is everywhere!

Peace and Quiet

Crumble threw himself into the excitement with all our house guests but this was him on Sunday eve, thrilled to reclaim his spot on the sofa.

This week on Youtube we continue the Floral alphabet! I hope you're enjoying it!
