Hi everyone, I really hope you enjoyed last week's session on creating colour palettes. This week we will take those harmonious colour palettes and put them to good use!

Use the references from the previous weeks post.

What are the benefits of painting a piece in an unexpected colour palette: Here you are taking the 'logic' out of the colour palette and colouring with the right side of the brain. It forces you to consider value and composition more and helps you see the warm and cool tones more clearly. Constraint improves creativity!

I would love to see your creative colour palette paintings on Discord and social media! It's so helpful for other Patrons as well to see each others work and remind ourselves we are a community who can learn from each other as well as the tutorials.

I love this SO much. Really, it speaks to my heart. For some time now, I have been working in pet portrait realism. While I love that form of art, I've found it exhausting and honestly quite stressful, to try to please everyone with being focused on so much "precision". In some ways, I was losing my joy of art. When I saw this tutorial, my heart was released in a way - like a permission slip to not be so uptight and just allow for creativity. So, thank you - thank you! I am enjoying this new process so very much! :)
