Welcome to all of our new members, the weekly camera roll is a chance to show you what's been on my desk this week as well as a few personal moments and sneak peeks of what is coming up on Youtube and Patreon.

Fairy Toadstool!

This was so much fun to paint, I can't believe I've never painted one before! As requested by you on You Choose Youtube, Tuesday's Youtube tutorial is this!

Misplaced optimism

This is Crumble and me after running back to the car in a downpour this morning. I foolishly thought the blue skies of September 1st would hold out. Turns out Autumn has announced itself!

The Pink House Hang out

I randomly chose a photo of this characterful pink house to paint in our watercolour hang out. Little did I know that this is The Pink House; a historic house and art gallery at 17 Chalmers Street in Charleston, South Carolina that is one of the oldest buildings in South Carolina. Find out more about it here

And paint along with the screen recording here. (wild rose, cherry blossom)

The prettiest paint brushes

This is not my next collaboration! (I wish). These are some rather cheap and silly paintbrushes I picked up at HobbyCraft for a little back to school reel I've done that will come out on social media tonight. If only all paintbrushes could have mermaid tails!

Have you ever used watercolour markers?

This is the result of my back to school shop. I tried these watercolour markers - they act like watercolour pencils; draw something then use a wet brush to blend the colour. I think these aren't a great example of the medium as they were very cheap but it was fun to try them nonetheless.

Family Time

Ant and I took our nephews to Longleat Safari Park on a very wet saturday. It was wonderful to spend the whole day with them and a tarantula!

Onward to Ullapool

The next instalment of our Scotland vlog will be on Youtube on Thursday!

Painting the Beach

we start part two of our beach landscape this week on the Patreon Watercolour Challenge! Access this tutorial (and MANY MORE) by joining the sweet pea tier or above!

The Pink House is also reputed to be haunted by the ghost of pirate Anne Bonney. https://charlestonterrors.com/the-pink-house/ 🫣 P.S. Love the ‘Watercolor Hangout’. I’m enjoying attempting the back catalog of videos.

I love the watercolor seashells and pretty mermaid brushes! I think I’m getting behind with some of these tutorials. The summer has been busy.🩷

Everything is so lovely, with the exceptional of the tarantulas. That is a big old spider. Lol!
