I've painted a batch of Youtube projects this week as it's not long before I'm headed back up to Scotland for my retreat! Therefore you're getting a really early sneak peek of some tutorials.

Water Reflections

I think it's important for us all (myself included) to say when we are really pleased with a painting. This is one of those occasions. It's not perfect at all but I'm so proud of how it turned out: I'm not someone who has naturally painted simply or loosely - it's something I've had to train myself to do. I feel like the picture in my head and what I got down on paper were pretty close matches and I'm so happy! This will be on Youtube for you all in a few weeks.

Womens Rugby World Cup

We live on the edge of a proud Rugby city - Exeter. We have a mens premiership team and the stadium is next door to where I play tennis. And yet we've never been to watch a match...until the Womens World Cup! We had a double bill of matches for just £10 each! So much fun with friends and great to support women's sport.

House painting commissions

This week I fitted in a lovely house painting commission. I had been looking forward to painting it all week as it's quite rare these days that I'm painting without filming it too. I enjoyed a few podcasts as I painted brick after brick! The commission is for a client whose wedding stationery I did a few years ago, it's lovely to see their lives' progession punctuated with my paintings!
