Hi everyone, I hope you're enjoying your summer and finding plenty of things to paint. It's time for you to submit your suggestions for October's You Choose Youtube feature. I try to include at least 4 of your suggestions for the month. Before commenting please read the bullet points below:

Results will be posted in the Octoberber bulletin which is published at the start of the new month

First check on my Youtube channel if your suggestion has already been covered.

I am more likely to choose seasonal ideas.

How about a hedgehog in the same style as the otters you did a few months ago ? 🦔

Diana

How about an empty rocking chair, a small table with a coffee/tea mug/cup on a patio, and an autumn foreground as a painting?

Janie Landis

A Fall wreath - a new version...I have loved the versions you've done in the past and have painted them myself to enjoy! Or perhaps something with ghost/pumpkin scene for Halloween cards for friends and/or grandchildren. :-)

Hi Harriet ! Could we have a table with food and plates & cutlery on it ? (And no people)

Nicola Archbold

Hi Harriet, what about a seasonal recipes card? Maybe pecan pie or a pumpkin spiced latte, or other autumnal flavours x

Guylaine Godin

Maybe a pumpkin patch with a small country house in the background…

Beth

How about a wreath of bats, ghosts, and pumpkins, like the stylized Easter card you did (eggs, chicks, carrots) a few years back? Thank you for whatever you decide, as it will be great.

Cheryl P

Autumn is a great time to golf!! How about a golf bag standing in a field of pumpkins and hay bales? And congrats on the Ryder Cup! Well done!

Helen Curtis

Would you consider a corrugated iron structure? We have an old disued scout hut near where I live, it's in a poor condition. I want to paint, it but not sure how.

Ivana

What about a Scottisch Highland Cow in a field with autumn trees?

School kids’ locker with various sports equipment hanging / falling out of it multi-sport would be fun - different types of balls (baseball, softballs, basketball, football, golf balls), racquets, bats, helmets, jersey/uniform shirts, cleats, etc…; Recipe cards for seasonal food (loved the carrot cake one); Bonfire/folding chairs/s’mores sticks; Caramel apples on a stick - plain or with various nut or candy toppings; Witch on a broom….. Thank you

Kristin

Would love a fall porch scene with pumpkins, scattered leaves, rocking chair, spiderweb etc... (maybe a ghostie in the window looking out)

Roby

I would like to paint a steam train traveling through an autumn landscape, surrounded by the warm colors of the foliage!

Kathryn Chandler

I would love you to demonstrate painting a hare or boxing hares . Another idea was to paint alpacas . They are so characterful . I have a friend who has some .and is training them to do alpaca walks to help mental well being . Either alpacas or lamas would be super . More British birds , blue tits , blackbird , wren , robin or thrush are just suggestions . Many thanks . I have seeing your fabulous Scottish adventure on the NC 500 Xx

Carol

How about some aspen groves like in the U.S. Rocky mountains with their glowing gold, orange, and red colors and new snow covered peaks in the background?
