From My Camera Roll (Patreon)

This week on Youtube

This week on Youtube, we've got a lovely Autumn study using just one colour!

And on Thursday we have a lovely Highland Coo in a field. I absolutely loved painting this in a bit more delicate detail. I hope you enjoy it too!

The whole point of this From My Camera roll feature is to show the various creative moments from the week, and we had great fun at the watercolour hang out painting black cats. I've chosen to feature here the one where I felt I really messed up the Cat's face because I want you to know I also have paintings where things dont go to plan but the best thing about that is you learn how to fix it next time. I realised throughout that the placement of the cat's eyes throws off the whole face. I still love it though!

I'm not the only painter in the family! Ant is a keen player of Warhammer where you build - and paint in meticulous detail - a whole little army of soldiers! He took his to an 'armies on display' event over the weekend. It was a really proud moment to see all his work on show alongside some other brilliant painters.

We enjoyed a lovely livestream class yesterday on the Cherry Blossom tier painting this autumn cobweb scene. The recording is up on Patreon so you can watch back at any time.

As I write this post I'm sat painting a piece to give to our friend's new baby who also happens to be Ant's goddaughter. It is a real pleasure to paint something for her.
