Hi everyone, if you're keen to start painting the mini flower series, this is a helpful starting point.

You need to be in the Daisy Tier to access these tutorials.

When we began this a year ago we never expected it to turn into what it did - for example, as a lefthander my instinct was to start at the top right hand corner of each page (japanese anemone and then dahlia, carnation etc etc on page 1) so there will be idiosyncrasies along the way.

Here is my guide to getting started if you want to paint them in as similar fashion to me as possible:

My paper is cold pressed 12x9 inches. I drew a pencil grid of 3 vertical lines and 4 horizontal lines resulting in 'squares' that are approximately 5.5 x 6cm.

Head to the mini flower tutorials collection and either scroll through - it doesn't take long to get to the bottom- or type in the flower you're looking for using the hand written title I gave it on the illustration. I was alerted to a missing one yesterday so I quickly edited and posted that, but please have a thorough look before messaging me to say you can't find one. Remember the last page is made up of the bigger tutorials where I painted up to four in one go.

I'm always using my set of three mini detail brushes which you can get here

The colours I used are always listed below the video but dont worry if you dont have the exact shades I do, just look in your palette and see what's similar or what you could mix.

Thank you. I painted and LOVED the alphabet florals. I plan to do this during the dreary winter months here in Chicago. Dreaming of spring…

Harriet thank you for these pictures they are so amazing! Don’t know where else to ask this so we will try here. I’ve noticed the last 2 years you have changed your palette up a little bit. (Love watching palette filling tutorials BTW, dreamy-paint obsession.) Wondering if you are planning to do that in 2026 too?
