Hi everyone, I've mentioned a few times that I visited Lacock which is full of charming, characterful houses. This is probably the simplest cottage style that I saw. This is a one and done session but we will be painting more houses from Lacock in the coming weeks as they were so lovely and full of interesting techniques to try! The reference photo is attached.

I have provided an accompanying post with a PDF line drawing download for the Watercolour Challenges which you can find here.

Sweet Pea tier members can opt to buy the individual line drawing downloads on a case by case basis. For Wild Rose and Cherry Blossom members the line drawing is free of charge - included in your monthly subscription.

You will need:

Cold pressed watercolour paper (mine is 6 x 5 inches)

hb pencil

hard and soft erasers

set square

optional dip pen/fine line pen (use code DEWINTONPAPERCO for 10% off all Toms Studio products) I use a Nikko G nib

Brushes I used pointed round size 6,4,2,0

Colours I used Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Yellow Ochre, Buff Titanium, Paynes Grey, Burnt Sienna, Organic Vermillion, Pyrrol Orange, Moonglow, French Ultramarine

Don't forget to share your work on socia media and on Discord!

I can't wait to get started on this painting! It's given me the desire to paint watercolours of photos Ive taken while visiting the Cotswolds.

Do you give a download of the photo of the cottage.
