Although these two birds would never meet due to their wildly different habitats, I was asked to paint both so I thought it would be fun to put them together in a piece, singing in harmony!

I have provided an accompanying post with a PDF line drawing download for the Watercolour Challenges which you can find here.

Sweet Pea tier members can opt to buy the individual line drawing downloads on a case by case basis. For Wild Rose and Cherry Blossom members the line drawing is free of charge - included in your monthly subscription.

Today we are painting the Meadowlark.

You will need:

Cold pressed watercolour paper (my piece is 9x6 inches)

Hard and soft erasers

hb pencil

Brushes I used: Pointed round size 0,2,4

Colours I used: Buff Titanium, Lemon Yellow, Hansa Yellow Medium, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Paynes Grey, Opera Rose, Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black, Moonglow
