Hi everyone, you will have seen this quick cut video on social media. As per usual, Patrons get the longer version to give you painting inspiration!

This is part of the Summer Postcard series. I think these would be amazing summer party invitations too! The focus is on an easy, breezy vibe which is reflected in the naive, undetailed painting approach. I'm using a brush that's just a bit larger than is comfortable and by doing that it creates these slightly childish paintings. The other key thing is unpainted space. Leave little bits unpainted here and there on your illustrations and the charm factor goes through the roof!

You will need:

Cold Pressed watercolour Paper post car size 10.5 x 14.8cm

Colours I used: Hansa Yellow Medium, Yellow Ochre, Organic Vermillion, Alizarin Crimson, Permanent Rose, Sap Green, Green Gold, Pyrrol Orange, Deep Sap Green, Paynes Grey, Burnt Sienna

Brushes I used: Pointed round size 2, 0

Harriet we were talking about the heat yesterday during hangout. Last night the weather forecast was 93-95 degrees with 106-107 heat index for the next 7 days. That’s 35c I think. 41.6 feels like heat index.

I love that “ wobbly and confident” name of my biography 🤭
