Hi everyone, I hope you're enjoying the last few weeks of Summer. We are busy getting ready for the Autumn season - I can't wait to share some fantastic new projects with you very soon!

Watercolour Hang Out

We camped on the hang out with this lovely lakeside scene. You can watch it back here.

Commissions are open!

I had a lovely time painting this commission of Barnsley House for a wedding anniversary present. Putting houses and gardens together is something I love. It was so nice to sit down and paint this from start to finish with no distractions. And I'm happy to announce that I am open for commissions to be ready in time for Christmas.

2 point perspective on the Livestream class

We covered how to draw buildings using a 2 point perspective in the Livestream class this week. If you've wondered what it's all about, I highly recommend watching this recording back.

Transforming the Studio

We had to go into the studio late at night this week to film some witchy content for the Halloween painting series we have in the pipeline. It was so much fun (and quickly got very warm with all the candles!) Watch this space to hear first about our brand new painting challenge for Halloween.

Trying the new Fuumuui watercolours

I was sent two sets of Fuumuui's brand new 'semi opaque' watercolours. I spent the Tuesday Youtube video doing a rigorous product review which came out with some surprising results. I didn't think I'd like them this much but you'll be able to see exactly what I thought on Tuesday. The good news is, if you do like the look of these - or the other colourway sets in the range - I have an affiliate link that gives you 10% off using the code HARRIET.

Sepia

I was asked to create a one colour tutorial with Sepia - a colour I have had behind the scenes this year. So this week on the watercolour challenge that is what we're doing! It's from Winsor and Newton and I've really enjoyed using it. This is a tutorial to showcase how using the value scale can create a varied piece that also has a feeling of a vintage 'sepia' photo!

Making the step from flowers to gardens

On Thursday I've got this lovely tutorial of a Capparis flower bush growing out of a rock. It's the perfect graduation from painting small flower arrangements to garden arrangements. I absolutely loved painting this and I hope you will too!
