Hi everyone, welcome to You Pick, We Paint - SEPTEMBER! This is where you can make suggestions for themes and topics that will inform the content I put out over the next month. Last month your suggestions featured in Youtube tutorials, on livestreams and social media reels!

It's time for you to submit your suggestions for September by commenting below.

These suggestions will inform my content across all platforms and formats (which will be outlined in the monthly bulletin) relevant for choosing topics to paint on Patreon and on my Social Media reels. I try to include at least 4 of your suggestions for the month. Before commenting please read the bullet points below:

Results will be posted in the September bulletin which is published at the start of the new month

First check on my Youtube channel if your suggestion has already been covered.

I am more likely to choose seasonal ideas.

Nicola Archbold

I’d love to be able to paint jar with contents in them; such as jam jars, honey jars, marmalade, curds etc

Betsi

A family tree template, we can customize

Ann

How about a harvest festival basket. A tree lined autumn street. A cozy reading chair near a fireplace. Squashes and ornamental gourds. Not necessarily pumpkins, there's lots of variety.

Amanda Selvaratnam

I’d love to do an illustrated map template we could customise

Phyllis

Ginger flowers

Heather Karstens

Perhaps for a weekly challenge and for back to school season, a detailed library interior. Either a pretty and cozy public library space or maybe something like a well known university library interior.

Teri Sturtevant

A woman wearing a floral dress would make a nice birthday card. A small home shown inside an Acorn or Gourd with a Fox (or other cute animal) drinking tea, a Mermaid, Peacock, an Umbrella lined street.

Jenny

Could you show us how you would paint some Beatrix Potter characters? They are so beautiful.

Marcia McGrath

An apple orchard with maybe people shown picking on ladders or just grounded. Orchard no people with baskets overflowing under a few trees. Maybe an apple cider press with bottled apple cider beside it or a cup of apple cider with spices in it, maybe apple cider donut on the side. Maybe a landscape showing trees changing looking down through a notch with fall sky.

Farseashore

A little clump of ghost pipe plants growing up from the leaf litter in the woods. They are so otherworldly when you happen upon them. Actually, ghost pipe is another good one for the traditional medicinal plants

Stew Hall

Some weird and wonderful little creepy crawlies like a worm or a beetle or a tardigrade (an adorable microscopic bear), or an echidna (not a creepy crawly but adorably weird)

Erin Berlin

I would love a detailed challenge of a fall farmer s market.. with at least one Apple cart/stand and a stand with canned (jarred) goods from a garden. . Maybe even multi part. ;)

Erin Berlin

Yes! A fall canning "harvest"!

R H

That would be awesome 💜

R H

Love this idea 💜

Jenny

How about a squirrel collecting nuts amongst autumn leaves

Sharon Rowe

A Practical Magic themed postcard? Red striped stockings in black boots, umbrellas, hats, wands etc 🖤

Susan Ing

A hawk moth or similar with a flower

Erin Berlin

Arent they both adorable AND creeptastic? I think you should paint one with a top hat amd tuxedo. Ha.

R H

Ooh. The practical magic cast jumping off their roof with umbrellas 🌂 ✨️

BeeDub

It’s the start of various sports season for school kids - a school locker with various sports balls, equipment, jerseys scattered around would be fun

Stew Hall

Hahaha I hope that was a good thing! 🤣🤣

Bell Foster

Since it’s the end of Summer would you consider painting sea glass in the shallow surf with a young child’s hand reaching down to collect them? Maybe with some toes at the edge of the picture or maybe rain boots?
