Hi everyone, this month we have our halloween painting challenge starting on the 19th October on Youtube - I really hope you join in for that. Therefore we have limited space for on demand tutorials so I will be picking fewer suggestions. But your ideas will inform the content featured in watercolour challenges on livestreams and social media reels as well as Youtube

It's time for you to submit your suggestions for October by commenting below.

These suggestions will inform my content across all platforms and formats (which will be outlined in the monthly bulletin) relevant for choosing topics to paint on Patreon and on my Social Media reels. Before commenting please read the bullet points below:

Results will be posted in the October bulletin which is published at the start of the new month

First check on my Youtube channel if your suggestion has already been covered.

I am more likely to choose seasonal ideas.

I’ve loved watching the watercolour challenge bookshop, perhaps a bakery or patisserie could be a cool watercolour challenge?

A cosy armchair by the fireside glow.

Hi Harriet, do you watch All Creatures Great and Small? I would love to paint Darrowby (any of the shops, Skeldale house, Yorkshire Dales scenes etc) I was lucky that I was in the area once when they were filming and was able to take some photos of some of the shops if that would be helpful. Not sure if this is allowed to be painted though!

Beth

A witch, cauldron, spell book, potion shelf…anything to build anticipation for the 19th October challenge!

Tardigrades and cute little slugs like Bunnies of the Sea or Sheep of the Sea (go on… google them, you shan’t be disappointed!)

Laura Rumble

I'd love a tulip tree where the leaves are bright yellow, looking through to the autumn sky that is clear and vibrant blue. I can paint it with a faint sky but have no idea how to capture the brilliant colour in both the leaves and the sky.

Amanda Kirby

A spread of Halloween candy, an autumn spice rack or a church steeple among fall foliage.
