Thanks so much everyone for your wonderful suggestions! Here is what I will be doing in September. We're going to hold off from too many autumnal things just for the moment as I have a lovely array of things on there from last year to satisfy those of you would like to get started early.

unicorns

fairies (promise!)

cats

cacti

One colour flower arrangement

moon and stars scene

simple hydrangeas

koi fish

vase of lilacs

And on Patreon we will be finishing off the boats on water piece. I would like to do a windowsill with window boxes and flowers next and then we will be doing a new venue illustration of a country church scene.

And the very special addition to this month is there will be some exclusive filmed tutorials from the new book for all levels of Patron!

Please more cats as I really can't do them at all!

Anna Spens

Anything fall or Halloween related

lori mathews

Barn and field please! Maybe with some sheep. Or field of flowers.

Debbie V

Fall card ideas

Janet Beavers

Have you done dahlias before? Couldn't find one.

Janet Beavers

I'd also like closer pictures of sheep rather than just in a field. Thx.

Amy Ripley

fall and autumn....things!

DeePee

horsey illustrations like stirrups, saddles, bits, bales of hay, showjumps 😍

Jana

Haunted house, narwhal, pumpkins, bonfire/camping scene/nightime scene

Sophie

No please, it is not Autumn yet 😢

Sophie

Greek villages, Scottish castle, volcano, marshland (with a crocodile head)

Romain L.

Hello, Castles in UK is a good idea, I propose lighthouse, and also more cats :-)

Linda Bloom

Fall and autumn flowers, harvest vegetables in a basket

Michelle Hensley

I’m new, so maybe you’ve already done easy butterflies, insects?

Alys Peck

I'm new as well, but, I was thinking fall things, maybe some Halloween themed things....actually, I love every single thing I have ever seen that you've done so.....it's all good and I'll be happy no matter what you share with us to do. Thank you so much......

Karen

Pomegranate open and closed; also would really love a pumpkin scene.

Becky

I really want to paint something colorful that isn’t a flower, so my suggestions are: a pink succulent, an agate or geode, and a betta fish. There are some tutorials out there, of course, but I love your style!

Connie

Forgive me for repeating myself. I would still love a Thatched Cottage with a garden (small) and a Red Fox and Box Turtle somewhere to be seen...but, I think it would be beautiful with a Fall or Winter theme :)))

Alison Field

A Victoria’s Sponge, or other tea cakes - Something that shows rich, gold colors of pastry or other food items

Lynne Morea

Bunnies would be wonderful. An octopus. Koi or beta fish. Any landscape. Thank you for everything.

Missy Smith

Christmas cactus or other flowering succulent, animals.

Kate Tully

Night sky and the moon

Denise G

Going with the seasons I would suggest something related to fall.

Janie Landis

I'm not into animals except bunnies perhaps, I go along with themes of Fall which is around the corner. I loved your wheelbarrow with flowers. Perhaps a truck full of pumpkins in the back? I know it isn't "new" but don't think I've seen your version of that. I actually love everything you do so I'm sure I won't be disappointed in whatever you choose.

Abbii

A bird table with a couple of birds, maybe a bit of foilage around? I want to paint this for my daughter as a surprise. I did try it myself but it looked like a boat being bombed by zepplins....

Elena

I would like some miniatures with autumn theme like pastry, hot drinks, etc. Autumn flowers and leaves wreath. Also maybe something from our previous list that we didn't paint. I liked the idea to paint flowers in more realistic style too and it would be great to do it again with smth else.

Frances Ross

Please no October themes yet; hummingbird in a dark red trumpet vine,

Frances Ross

Time passes quickly enough, let’s remember it’s still tomato picking in New Jersey, USA.

Trina Williams

I would love to see an in-depth study of different types of trees. I struggle with evergreens and pine types. Also a landscape of the mountains with a foggy misty atmosphere at top, some color of leaves changing and perhaps a light touch of snow at the tops..... I also agree that some fuzzy bunnies, both loose and blurry and detailed would be fun. One more idea! Pots of different color mums? Thanks!

Sarah Bradfield

I’ve just come back from Scotland and painting coast and sea is so hard - please help!

Beverly Dorman

I would love to paint home interiors....a simple living space of some kind. Furniture, draperies, etc. or start with individual components and build to a pretty interior. Thank you, Harriet!

Mona Liza

Can we please paint butterflies and honey?

Melissa Loo

Would really love to paint anything holiday related since we can't travel much (from where I am). But in any case we love whatever you post, thank you for putting so much thought into your tutorials!

Kathy Graham

I would love to paint bunnies and realistic beta fish.

Eileen Newman

Chrysanthemum the old incurve sort , or maybe a cottage garden

Robyn Mills

I’d like to use the autumn pallet of colours ( though we’re actually heading into Spring down under) so it feels a bit strange go8ng into fall) but I do love Autumn leaves in a wreath, or floating on water, cafe scene, log fires to suggest a few.

Britt Ekeroth

How about some icelandic horses, Would love that .
