Hi everyone, welcome to all our new Patrons, I hope you're finding your way around my Patreon ok. Dont forget, you can always send me a message if you have any specific questions. Discord is by far the best place for comments and tips on any paintings you've done as a result of the watercolour challenges as you can post your pictures and see how each other are getting on.

If you are new to painting then I highly recommend going back to the first watercolour challenges and working through the first through to get your basic techniques going. Then you can pick and choose whatever you like!

Today we're in the drawing stage of another composition suggested by YOU on the You choose Youtube feature. We are going to paint a lovely rustic window scene with potted plants, window boxes and a climbing rose. Today is all about getting the pencil drawing down and we will start painting next week!

This is a private youtube link which only you sweet pea and cherry blossom patrons have access to.

You will need

a piece of watercolour paper - mine is 6x7 inches

a pencil (HB preferably)

A set square or ruler but a set square is great because it has a right angle

A rubber

After watching the video...

draw along with the watercolour challenge and see how you get on.

I cant wait to get painting next week!

Have a wonderful week.

Do you have a section on how to mat/frame paintings? Or ideas on how to display work? I realized I really can’t “frame” everything 😂 but still want them available to look at…thanks for your input…

Harriet, Looking forward to painting this! Could you please indicate when we can expect the next step? Your videos are such a comfort in these troubled times! Ginny
