Hi everyone, here is the final instalment of this bouquet painting tutorial.  This part is all about adding depth and detail to really make it pop off the page.

Welcome to all our new Patrons, I hope you're finding your way around my Patreon ok. Don't forget, you can always send me a message if you have any specific questions. Discord is by far the best place for comments and tips on any paintings you've done as a result of the watercolour challenges as you can post your pictures and see how each other are getting on.

If you are new to painting then I highly recommend going back to the first watercolour challenges and working through the first through to get your basic techniques going. Then you can pick and choose whatever you like.

This is a private youtube link which only you sweet pea and cherry blossom patrons have access to.

You will need

This is beautiful! Please do more of these wonderful bouquets. I still like the flower paintings best.

Hi Harriet, I wonder how your paintings get so crisp. Whatever I do, my paintings never end up as crisp as yours. Like these flowers now or the church I did. Yours just pop of the page! Somehow you manage to lift the drawing up without it looking cartoonish. For some reason I can´t get there no matter what I try... is it the quality of the paint (I use wn cotman) or the brushes? Or practice? I now I´m too hard on myself, I´m a perfectionist, I can´t help myself 🙈

Hi Annick, It might have something to do with the quality of paints, Cotman is good but it is student level which means it doesn't have quite the same amount of pigment as higher level paints. or painting with as few brush strokes as possible is also something that can affect vibrance.
