Hi Patrons, today is our last watercolour challenge of the year before we have a little break! I've posted this for all tiers as a little Christmas present and a sample of what you can expect in the Sweet Pea and Cherry Blossom tiers if you fancy moving tiers any time!

We (Myself, Ant, Crumble and Lola) want to send you lots of love and thanks for joining our painting community and forming what feels like an extended family. 2022 has had it's own unique challenges and I hope that our watercolour painting sessions have provided some respite for you all.

We have one last Cherry Blossom livestream and an All-Patron livestream coming up...and then it is time for a little break. My hope is, if you are keen to paint in the festive break then there are so many Youtube tutorials, watercolour challenges to revisit, livestream recordings and Instagram saved highlights to watch so you won't get bored regardless of what tier you are on.

Those of you who are on the Discord server (Cherry Blossoms and Sweet Peas) I hope you will continue to share your painting progress and general daily musings in there.

We have covered so much ground this year and I'm excited for what 2023 brings. Ant and I are going to do a bit of a debrief to see what worked and what didn't and make sure we are offering you as enjoyable a painting service as possible. We would also love to get your feedback too on what you've enjoyed and what you would like more/less of in the New Year.

We will be back the week beginning January 4th 2023, so for now all is left to say:

T H A N K  Y O U !

You will need

Piece of paper (I used 6x8 inches)

your regular watercolour kit.

pencil, eraser

After watching the video...

Get stuck in!

Don't forget to share your paintings on Discord and on Instagram using the #dwpcchallenge. By sharing your work you can ask questions of me or your fellow painters and inspire others to get painting!

Hi Harriet! Did you use a bear reference picture for the preliminary sketch? Thanks!

de Winton Paper co.

What I usually do is have a look online at some images and then come up with a sketch. I'm not sure If I used a specific reference photo

It’s a real gift finding an artist who has so much to offer that is also a good teacher! So grateful that I found you. I would love to see more on looser watercolor compositions where the paint can do its thing more than the brushes. M ✨🎄✨
