Watercolour Challenge 126 (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone! We're starting a new challenge today. Last week's border painting involved simplifying organic shapes into patterns. We've also done a bit of this in the Cherry Blossom livestream. So now we are going to look at how you can turn a flower into an art nouveau motif.
Your watercolour challenge is to try this tulip and then have a go at transforming another flower of your choice into a stylised Art nouveau motif!
Welcome to all our new Patrons, I hope you're finding your way around my Patreon ok. Don't forget, you can always send me a message if you have any specific questions. Discord is by far the best place for comments and tips on any paintings you've done as a result of the watercolour challenges as you can post your pictures and see how each other are getting on.
If you are new to painting then I highly recommend going back to the first watercolour challenges and working through the first through to get your basic techniques going. Then you can pick and choose whatever you like.
This is a private youtube link which only you sweet pea and cherry blossom patrons have access to.
The detailed tulip is watercolour challenge 33.
You will need
watercolour paper 8x6 inch/a5 size.
pencil, set square and eraser
Your usual watercolour kit (I've used Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Sap Green and Paynes Grey.)

Don't forget to share your paintings and works in progress on Discord and on Instagram using the #dwpcchallenge. By sharing your work you can ask questions of me or your fellow painters and inspire others to get painting!
