A bird on its nest. That could be several ones because of all the different ways and places birds have nests.

Sarah Bradfield

Frogspawn , frogs and toads, worms - all a bit slimy but they are all over my garden this week! Also the bark of trees and logs Thank you for the opportunity to suggest things Sarah

Belinda Stringer

Some more quick cards would be great as I have to make loads for our charity Hector’s house, to thank people who support us!

Belinda Stringer

I’m cracking on with the tulips in the Cornish ware jug this weekend!

Amy Lilley

A field mouse on wheat ❤️

Amy Lilley

… More complex florals (like the amazing rose you posted recently), and/or how to compose a painting 🙂 I look forward to seeing what you choose 😍

Anna Rofes

Oh! There are so many things I'd love to paint! What about a landscape or garden with rockery plants? Otherwise I'd love to see more bookmarks tutorials, they are great gifts! Another thing I can think of is some musical instruments.

Anna Rofes

Or perhaps some garden tools in a composition with flowers?

Elizabeth

I would love to see some Campanula, they are just starting to flower in my garden and they are the only plant the slugs don't decimate! Beautiful small blue/purple/violet bell flowers.

Donna Hudson

The water drops was so helpful, so more water or rain, or a birdbath in a spring shower? I just need to spend more time practicing and watching you paint!

Janie Landis

How about a turtle, a lighthouse, an oyster shell looking at the inside, a sandpiper (I live on an island :-)). I always love your ideas for cards and basically love everything that you do.

Tami

I would love to see a Map. Any kind of Map - USA Map, World Map, or a Specific State in the US. An easy or a even detailed labeled Map of USA with a few fun elements pertaining to the state. I always love your projects you bring to life with our suggestions for the month, thank you!!

Julia

I would love fruits or vegetables. But i really love everything you do ! I look forward to see what you will do for us in may

Laura Rodgers

A lovely marsh with egrets at sunset! A market fruit stand too! thanks

Debbie V

Here in the Midwest in the US it is morel mushroom season and I have tried several times to paint a mushroom on the forest floor and it looks muddy and messy…. I realize it’s pretty specific.

Alison Morris

A village maypole? A hedgehog family? Though actually I think I'll enjoy painting anything you choose :-)

Mary Buchanan

I feel like I need help with composition- also backgrounds

Johanne

Un bouquet de fleurs dès champs.

Tammie

Beach scene with silhouettes of people and dogs in the distance.

Kathy Nielsen

Kuljit Jandoo

I would really like to do gemstones. Could we do gemstones and flowers of the month?

Linda Bloom

wedding bouquets like you did last year, a may basket hanging on a door knob, a knot garden of herbs

Sally

There are some lovely ideas above, the window and the coffee shop and the beach! I wonder if something like this could be done in an illustrative style?

Kate Tully

Vehicles and ideas for men’s greetings cards

Beverly Dorman

I love interior design and would love to do an interior space or piece of furniture or vignette of some kind. Perhaps in the illustrative style as suggested above. Thanks, Harriet!

Amy

I’m brand new to Patreon, I really enjoyed the cherry blossom vignette on youtube, maybe something along those lines? The combination of florals and building work was really challenging but fun! Thanks Harriet!

Patricia Nesbitt

I am quite biased but would love to paint some Scottish terriers!

Marion Knell

A secret garden theme with woodland animals. A golf course ( I’d love to paint one as a gift for my brother) A window looking onto a countryside veiw, with a vase) A village green with lots of cottages and bunting for the coronation.

Jasmine Zhang

A miniature painting of paintbrushes, paint palettes, and an unfinished piece of artwork in the middle

Angela Jansen

A meadow with seasonal flowers in the woods

Uta

A secret garden with a water feature or a fountain, a coastal scene with terns and seagulls

Sally Collings

I recently did your Teignmouth pier paintings using perspective lines for the first time so would love to learn a bit more about that, so buildings maybe with window boxes or gardens?

Alison Gammon

Have you done agapanthus yet please? I really like the dark purpley- blue ones!

Julie Ulin

A cottage between the trees with a wooden fence growing smaller towards the background. In the fence you see horses in the distance. I already sent a reference picture on Instagram

CynthiaJQ

Maybe a fountain in a garden with birds about?

Christina Moxon

New here and excited to dive in. Would love to see some rainy scenes, such as flower pots in the rain, or a rainy window with a cozy chair and cuppa. Puddles, wellies etc. It's rained a lot here 😆 xxx

Beth Farrell

How about hydrangas around a cottage or a barn

Heidi Feldstein

Kitchen scenes, stovetops with food prep. I love to paint food in your detailed style.

Sophie

Hydrangeas would be great!

I would like any of the above but also an illuminated text like an old manuscript fine detail clear colours etc

de Winton Paper co.

Ah that's nice Belinda, have you seen I've been doing some YouTube shorts and instagram reels with some quick card making ideas, recycling some of my paintings

de Winton Paper co.

well well, it's funny you mention that as that exact subject is in the new book, only a few more months to wait!

de Winton Paper co.

Thanks for your suggestions, with the painting composition is it a general bit of help or are you thinking of specific subjects ?

Amy Lilley

So exciting! I saw your book on Amazon and there are so many beautiful things I’d love to learn to paint. The Nuthatch is beautiful too 😍 I’ll definitely be ordering a copy! Xx

Amy Lilley

I mean composition rules so we can work towards our own pieces. I sometimes feel really stuck when it comes to my own work. Colour theory and composition are such big topics and real sticking points for me. I think it would be so helpful to work on some projects with specific compositions (golden rule, rule of thirds, etc) incorporating colour theory/ leading the eye around the painting. I have books on it but it’s a bit overwhelming and I think seeing it in practice would be so so helpful. For example, I have been playing around with different ways of drawing and painting pansies and would love to create a painting of them but I get so hung up on how to arrange them on the page and which colours to use 🙈 I feel like a knowledge of composition will allow me so much more freedom when it comes to creating my own work. A series on it would be amazing 🙏I hope that makes sense, I have my kids in the bath asking me for a million things 🙈

Hi Janie, we've got a nice lighthouse tutorial on YouTube (and there's also one in the watercolour challenges)

de Winton Paper co.

Ooh I painted some of those for a commission, that would be a really nice piece.

de Winton Paper co.

Oh amazing. We have quite a few mushrooms in the new book coming out soon! And there are a few mushroom tutorials already in my YouTube channel. Just search 'mushroom's in the search bar on the channel

de Winton Paper co.

There's a nice little lighthouse vignette on the illustration playlist on youtube

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Amy! Welcome, yes this is the bit where you can just let me know all your painting wishes! I do as many as I can but you can ask each month and I squeeze in as many as poss.

de Winton Paper co.

Not yet, I saw some in my mother in law's garden and thought of your comment! It would be very seasonal

de Winton Paper co.

Lovely idea. You might enjoy the swan tutorial on YouTube this evening in the meantime

de Winton Paper co.

Welcome Christina! There is so much to paint and enjoy! Thanks for your suggestions!

de Winton Paper co.

I love painting food so much. The origins of all my inspiration is the children's book the tiger who cam to tea with all the pictures of food!

de Winton Paper co.

We've got a few hydrangea tutorials in the flowers and foliage playlist on the YouTube channel

Leah

Can't wait for the bird and gemstone tutorials!!
