You did the difficult bit last week, now it's just about taking some time and enjoying bringing this building to life. As always I've broken down the painting into simple steps and it's important to remember that wobbly lines are fine - encouraged, even! Maybe skip to the end to see how wobbly lines can actually look really lovely and then go back tot he beginning and paint along with me!

Don't forget to have your reference photo to hand even if, like me, you are using a bit of artistic license with some of the window formations.

You will need:

Your drawing from last week

Brushes I used: Pointed Round Size 4,2,0,4/0

Colours I used: Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Buff Titanium, Cadmium Orange, Moonglow, Paynes Grey, Burnt Sienna, Mars Black, Sap Green

We will be completing this painting next week but do share your works in progress on Discord and on social media tagging me @dewintonpaperco and using the hashtag #dwpcchallenge

Liberty of London. When my husband and I were in London, we are from Vancouver in the state of Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, we went to Piccadilly Circle. I had to go to where the fabrics of Liberty of London were made. I love Liberty of London fabric and have myself a small collection and sewed two tiered skirts using a different Liberty of London fabric for each tier. I made these skirts about 25 years ago and they still look and wear like new!
