Thank you so much for your suggestions. I've put as many links to existing videos as I can and there are some I've suggested we will look at in Patreon tutorials. On Youtube for March I will try to fit in:

Art supplies and stack of books

Spring meadow with a pond landscape

Narcissus and bulb

Cherries with blossom

Faberge style egg

Spring lambs

Easter Card

Mothers Day card

Magnolia flower

I'm off to London to visit the immersive Van Gogh exhibition today!

Head to the Youtube channel to check them out! I have also started new playlists on Youtube listing every tutorial by the month it came out so if you're looking for seasonal content you can find it that way!

How about a ruined abbey please? Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire is very scenic! Thank you!

Erin Berlin

March is my birthday month, and it s a big one! I'd love to see a table of birthday cakes and goodies! Or a fiesta background/party decor.

Katja Klages

Please I'd love an Easter painting for a card. Thank you .

Sharon Dobbs

I love your Italy paintings, please more of those!

Jennifer Wrightington

I know it is not Easter idea but I live New England Cape Cod.. Anything..... Can you accommodate the idea?

Suzanne Spruijt

I'd love more nature journaling. Like... if you and Crumble would spot a blossom tree: paint the tree plus a blossom detail. Or an interesting stick with budding leafs or mosses growing on it. A bulb-flower growing out of it's bulb. Flower to root, all in one painting. Tulips and narcissus are sometimes sold that way here (NL), to be put in a vase with a little water for the roots. That got me inspired, I guess 😅

Laraine Lacob

I too am from Massachusetts! I would love a Cape Cod -like painting

Randy R.

Hi Harriet: Where I am, in the Mid-Atlantic coast states of the US, the Forsythia's yellow blooms have a way of demonstrating that early spring has sprung. Its long, slender branches would make a lovely border to any springtime piece of work.

Valentina

I would love to see a tutorial for Antilope Canyon, I think the beautiful curved shapes and the different shades of terracotta/brown melting into each other would make a great watercolour!

Karen

I would like to paint a peacock with open tail. I think the colours are amazing. I’ve had a go a just a feather, but would love to know how to paint the whole bird. I also like the idea of a ruined abbey or building.

Valentina

I'm not living there but I'd love to see one too!

Patricia Maraia

A bouquet of spring flowers, blooming or still in their bud form. Perfect for Easter! Thank you for asking.

Randy R.

Whoops! I now see you painted the Forsythia last year.

Mary Moury

What about rain boots and an umbrella? Also, not very seasonal, but my daughter's only birthday request was to go to the aquarium. I think that would be fun to paint too

Katherine

I would love to see a realistic rabbit or hare🐰

Cheryl Gibbs

I think an impish leprechaun sitting in a field of shamrocks with a rainbow overhead (and of course a pot o' gold) would be so much fun to paint. Also, a group of bunnies of all different colors (brown, spotted, white, black and white, grey) surrounded by Spring flowers.

Michelle Marsan

Close-up of a flower with rain drops on it.

Stew Hall

Ooh some fruits with their flowers would be nice (such as the passionfruit flower next to a passionfruit, the flower is really quite unworldly in this example though)

kaneez merali

How about a beautiful Buddhist temple

Rachel Clark

I'd love to practice the detail work that we could get into with a St. Brigid's cross or a standing Celtic cross--think Glendalough or other Wicklow Mountains locations.

Kuljit Jandoo

A cross between Easter eggs and my love for gems, how about a Fabergé egg? 😊

Robin Duke

Maybe a mourning dove or titmouse?

Debbie V

Common birds, drawing them for nature journaling and painting them in loose watercolor fashion.

Uta

A stork, perhaps in its nest with storklings, a trout jumping for an insect or a bowl with spring flowers ?

Dee R

baby bunny eating a yellow dandelion

Julie Westwood

Hi I’d like something for Mother’s Day please- maybe some writing with flowers on it or something simple to design a Mother’s Day card I’m not religious but follow another artist who has done some beautiful bible paintings really emotive - as it’s Easter maybe something significant for that ?

LadyC

Would love clovers (maybe a field of clovers) for St. Patrick's Day, and a cute spring lamb for Easter!

April Haxby

Dear Harriet. Just watched an instagram post you have put up where you make a birthday card for your Mum. You flicked through a lot of paintings of beautiful loose flowers in bouquets. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on loose flower paintings. Maybe an Easter bouquet? Or maybe this would be a good idea for you to save for a new series of weekly tutorials in May/June on building skills in painting loose flowers, learning different techniques and flowers each week, building up to doing a whole bouquet. 💐

Anna Rofes

Very nice suggestions! I also vote for new Easter cards with flowers, bunnies or chickens and eggs.

Anna Rofes

Sorry, I hadn't finished to write: I'd also love to learn more about techniques for water reflektions as well as for lights and shadows. Thank you!

Rachel Clark

I love me some forsythia bushes, though! Our neighbor took out four really huge, overgrown ones last year, and while I know why, I still miss those vibrant yellow blossoms at the end of a dreary and cold Chicago winter!

Patricia Maraia

I’d like that too - intimate settings of the homes in a quaint Italian town

Silvia Delena

I love the idea of an Easter lamb. Maybe in a field of shamrocks.

Patricia Maraia

Hello Harriet, in the US there is a magazine, “Watercolor Artist” that I’ve just previewed online, their Spring Edition 2024. There, on the cover is a watercolor painting of a jar, tea pot with cups on a darling eyelet tablecloth. Wouldn’t that be fantastic as a challenge? Just a thought, but boy, that would be terrific!!!!

Anne-Marie Serpaud

Hello, Egg vases with country flowers or chocolate eggs with pretty ribbons?

Patty Williams

I would love to do hot air balloons. Love watching as a young adult

Karen

Found it last night when I was planning which bird I was going to paint today. Thank you ☺️

ilona van der tang

I now you already did a magnolia 3 years ago....but I would love to see another one🙈 (I did not like the head-on flower, sorry....) it's my mams' favorit

Rachel Clark

There is a super cute miniature illustration of a high tea table on her YouTube channel if this doesn't end up on the list. The eyelet tablecloth sounds like a great challenge, though!

You've pretty much described my third book 'A year of watercolour'! But I like the idea of a flower growing out of its bulb.

de Winton Paper co.

Funnily enough April tonight on YouTube I look at some of those flower paintings in that flick through because I painted them in a rather surprising style!

de Winton Paper co.

This might be nice to try In the slightly simplified style. I might save this for Patreon. What tier are you Alison?

de Winton Paper co.

I think this will be best on Patreon in the watercolour challenges so we have time

de Winton Paper co.

wow what a place! That could be fun to paint, we might save that for patreon

Kuljit Jandoo

Have a lovely time Harriet. I absolutely loved the Van Gogh immersive experience. I really wanted to do the Monet one so hope it comes round again x

Karen_Tries

Oooh I am gonna love the magnolia one! If it’s a southern magnolia OR a Japanese magnolia, both I wanna paint!

Amanda Selvaratnam

Fab I’ve just bought a year in watercolour to go with my new botanical painting book, but I feel the need for Birds bees and blossoms – maybe for Mother’s Day?

Kate Tully

Thanks Harriet ❤️

Alison Gammon

Hello Harriet, I am in the cherry blossom tier, but I don't have time to do the watercolour hangouts at the moment I'm afraid. Thank you!

de Winton Paper co.

Great I just wanted to check if we did it as a watercolour challenge you would be able to see it x

Rita

Have a wonderful time at Van Gogh! I saw it in Atlanta. It’s amazing! I love the March topics.

Suzanne Spruijt

I know! I just really enjoyed the various episodes in the "Discover the Joy of Nature Journaling" series, and it feels like it's been a while... 😁

Anna Morgado

Just watched the Friendship Bracelet tutorial. So cute! Can’t wait to try it. It warmed my Swiftie heart. ❤️

de Winton Paper co.

yay! It's so fun to paint. We've actually just taken it down and are reposting it today because it had a technical glitch. Just in case you can't find it today it will be back on the channel.

Suzanne Spruijt

Just watched the bulb flower tutorial, and it hits ALL the spots for me! Thank you so much, Harriet. After the weekend I shall have to choose one of the varieties of daffodils and narcissus I have in my garden, pull it, and paint it!
