Production Delay: Sealskin Rock (Patreon)

There's no easy way to word this, but it's been a difficult month for us.In addition to some personal & health issues that have drastically reduced our productivity, the added work for tax season, and dealing with German immigration, one of our key employees (our co-sound designer) was forced to resign. This was due to personal life changes in his family and them needing to make adjustments in their lives. We're still friends and he will help us where he can, but the additional (substantial) workload from this person resigning, paired with the other issues, has put us in a difficult situation. Eezo also had two surgeries since our last update. He's snooz'ling and recovering, and should be cleared as being "in good health" tomorrow.

As of today, we're not technically "behind" schedule from the public's perspective, but we're certainly not as far ahead as we'd anticipated being in our last (more optimistic) update. This perfect storm of events leads directly into a trip we've planned (and delayed yearly) for 5 years - where we'll be gone for 2 weeks, and not able to edit. It will be an exciting trip, but our minds have been understandably on our release schedule, which has prompted this post. We've talked about work-life balance before, and about how it constantly evades us, but please know we are working hard to get things done.

While we could theoretically push ahead and release Don't Mind: Sealskin Rock on schedule - it would come at a very large personal cost over the next 20 weeks. No weekends. No evenings. No room for sickness or time off. No time with visiting family. No time for longer dog walks or hikes. Our other projects would also suffer greatly as we'd need to work from 9am-10pm or later, daily. We already pushed back the release of Dark Dice S2 a full year, and we absolutely have to finish any story that we start. Therefore, for the good of our mental & physical health we have decided to delay the public release of Sealskin Rock by 1 year to March/April 2025 - though we'll be releasing episodes on our Patreon as often as we're able.

Thank you so much for your support and patience. Dark Dice will be still be releasing on schedule. The White Vault: Goshawk (S2) is still scheduled for October. We look forward to sharing a few exciting (and more positive) stories and updates with you soon!
