Hello and Happy Spring Everyone! We'd like to take a few minutes today to update you on all the strange and wondrous things we're working on.

First and foremost, this week we've partially recorded the final season of The White Vault Goshawk! For at least 3 hours each day (closer to 5), we have been working with our actors to bring their White Vault characters to life for the last time. It's been a blast getting to hang out with Marcy Edwards, Lauren Tucker, Luis Cruz, and other folks we can't namedrop because #Spoilers. We are happy to report that we are currently way ahead of schedule! We are also working on early ideas for our next Guardian Tier relic...

You are likely aware that we're releasing our newest story Don't Mind: Sealskin Rock - a stand-alone horror mystery! It's creepy, it's fun, and we will also be giving patrons who have their subscription set to annual a limited-edition metal coin that ties directly into the show! Finnur is working full-time on sound design for this current story, and Travis is also contributing more than part-time hours each week on top of his White Vault work, with the hopes of completing 3 episodes before the end of the month because...

Surprise!

[Very early WIP Poster Design for Liberty: Tales from the Tower's Japanese Adaptation]

... At the end of the month we are traveling to Japan to record our first ever podcast IN JAPANESE! We will be adapting selected stories from Liberty: Tales from the Tower - bringing our special kind of horror to Japanese audiences! Last year we met with Japanese companies interested in adapting our works, and while those deals did not materialize, we feel strongly about making this adaptation happen. We'll be taking plenty of photos from our studio time in Tokyo with the Japanese Liberty cast and team! We never thought we would see our works adapted to new languages, and we are excited for a fantastic creative journey.

While we're in Japan, Kaitlin will be meeting with a number of archaeologists to discuss a very niche section of Japanese history... Which will be a key component for a future story that she's already working on! (And before you ask, the story will be released in English)

Part of our Japanese adaptation of Tales from the Tower means that we had to re-review our oldest scripts... We didn't mean to... But we couldn't help but update them a little bit. 😅 After all, they are really fun/spooky stories that we're passionate about, and since we want to put our best foot forward in Japan, Rikke (our intern) and Travis have also gone back to update the classic sound effects. We're also composing a full blown soundtrack for the series by the one and only Brandon Boone! (We plan to upload a Liberty soundtrack here soon!)

We've also completely re-recorded the dialogue and narration for 8 episodes(!), so, it is with our sincere gratitude that we can say this: We are on schedule to release a completely updated version of Tales From the Tower "Season 1" right around the time of our 10 year anniversary as podcasters (June 24th)! These changes should make our earliest works more accessible, more in line with our current talents, and more terrifying! To add to this, we even tracked down some voice actors we'd not spoken with since recording Season 1, and had a blast re-connecting and re-recording with them over the last few months.

[New faces at our (D&D) table]

For Dark Dice - we are simultaneously working on different elements for three seasons, and a bonus story, as well as wrapping up the final major changes to the "True Necromancer" class. A LOT of work is happening but similarly to The White Vault, we can't say too much more just yet because #Spoilers.

On the personal front, Eezo, Travis, and Kaitlin have been going on longer dog walks into the mountains because the weather has been increasingly pleasant. We've been gardening a bit more and harvesting edible food from the nearby mountains, which saved us about ~$20 on our last grocery bill. 😊 Eezo has had fun seeing old friends and making new ones, too. His allergy-booties/pants have also kept him safe while getting smiles from just about everyone we walk by. (So cute when kids see Eezo and laugh 'Guck mal! Der Hund trägt Strümpfe!')

Until our next update!

Japan doesn’t know what a gift they are getting . Best wishes for your future expansion. Your attention to details sets you way above the rest.
