March 2026 Updates (Patreon)
Content
Good Morning! It feels like we've been ghosts with how much we've been working. But we want our community to feel in the loop about our work, so we'd like to share some updates today!
Patches. We were surprised and upset to discover that the Goshawk patches we had mailed to the US & Canada last month were all returned to us last week.... There was no explanation whatsoever provided by the post office, and so all the US/Canada patches are back at home with us again. We plan to mail the patches directly from the US in about 4 weeks. This is the (at least) third time that our selected parcel-carrier here in Germany has denied shipping packages to the US. Sorry for the strange and unexpected delay.
The White Vault. As you're probably aware, The White Vault: Goshawk has concluded, meaning that the series is now complete. The show has been such a large part of our lives, and now it has ended. We had a fun listening party on Patreon, and a second one on Twitch to celebrate... and before the sun rose the following morning we'd already began work on our next releases. The White Vault has closed its doors, and now we'll work to open others.
Liberty: Tales from the Tower. We're about 2-3 days away from finishing our first season of the Japanese Liberty: Tales from the Tower. The show has been wildly successful by all measures hitting the #1 spot for "Fiction" on Apple (in Japan), reaching the "Top 100" charts for all of Apple (in Japan), and being nominated for a few awards. In addition to select stories from our first season it's also featured Nightmares and will conclude with The Narrow, both of which will have their English language counterparts updated with new recordings and sound design. So, even if you don't listen to the Japanese versions, the English versions will come out of this with a fresh, new, shiny coat of audio paint.
Don't Mind Riku Cave. We received our semi-final cover artwork for Riku Cave and are nearly done with the second round of script edits (of five). Music composition is also underway, and we will begin casting once we are further into the script editing cycle.
Dark Dice: The Long Road. We've been working diligently on this season of Dark Dice. We're about 4-6 episodes until the season/story conclusion, and had a number of fun production challenges, largely involving assembling an Icelandic women's choir - which will help convey a major plot point in an upcoming episode. These singers (Icelandic, but located in Copenhagen) also recorded a lot of fun "walla" (background talk), which we'll be using on our shows in the future.
Dark Dice: Shores of the Silver Thrum. Almost entirely separate from the other Dark Dice story, transcripts for Silver Thrum are being finalized ahead of dialogue editing & retakes. Despite being an unscripted show, we re-record quite a few elements such as putting narrative in past tense, combining redundant sections, giving descriptive information to actors to read "in character", and re-recording all non-player character lines with actors. We want Shores of the Silver Thrum to return with a splash so we're giving it the royal treatment.
Shores of the Silver Thrum - Book. We've also been editing, updating, expanding, and fine-tuning the RPG book for Shores of the Silver Thrum. We wrote the original draft before we established a style guide for our books, so it will be quite different once we're through this pass. We have a lot of content prepared for this book, and some of it never made it into the podcast!
Don't Mind Cruxmont - Remix. Remixing of the episodes for Don't Mind Cruxmont has also continued, but not been released. We're doing our best to boost the dialogue and align the overall volume to our current audio standards. This remix is one that most listeners will not notice, but it's one that will make listening more enjoyable overall.
Eezo. Is doing great! He's loving the spring weather and even got to chase after a winter-white ermine (looks like a ferret pokemon) the other week. He certainly wishes we spent more time outside with him than inside at our computers, but he's happy to sit on the balcony and grumble playfully at our neighbors. That's our round-up! We have a lot going on, and other projects (like the Guardian statuettes) are also still on-going. We hope everyone has a great March, and we'll keep at it here at F&S HQ!Cheers,Travis, Kaitlin, & Eezo
