The archaeological team at Base Camp Piedra discovers that they might not be alone.
The archaeological team at Base Camp Piedra discovers that they might not be alone.
In an earlier episode we dedicated significant time getting the perfect vocalizations for a rare and very specific Patagonian bird. In this episode we went significantly further down the rabbit hole in finding audio of an animal more rare than a polar bear. An animal that rarely vocalizes and that sounds like nothing else on this planet... Keep your ears open on this one, you won't want to miss it... Also, after you listen to the episode we also highly recommend looking at this picture of the animal, so you can get a sense of what they look like.
...Less impressively, but just as enthusiastically, you can also hear Travis boil water on our hot plate in one of the scenes. Happy New Year!
