As some of the team explore deeper into the old systems beneath the mountain, others begin to unravel the true horrors around them.

Notes: I'm particularly happy to report that we mixed this episode while flying to Washington DC and back. Also, there is a single scene here that's almost 20 minutes long and has multiple PoV changes that represents the longest scene on The White Vault so far!

Kick butt, Travis! Thank you (and Kaitlin) for your hard work and dedication. Last week had me worried (and blown of mind). This week I’m thinking terrified! :-D

Thank you so much! I literally just re-listened to all things White Vault as of last night. I'm super excited for the rest of the season!

In a podcast that is, from the ground up, entirely My Garbage, this episode stands out as the most extravagantly, precisely targeted at me. Bravo.

new record: I started screaming at the four minute mark! :D

I think Lucas is going to be the first to go, he’s reciting the line, lost a tooth, and is technically the sole survivor from the prologue after the couple died in the car crash.

I 1500% agree with Simon about the corpse bees because, seriously, WTF? Also, I have a small... not crit but an opinion, if that’s alright? It seems to me like the transitions from the characters’ native language are more sudden than in previous seasons. In this ep, only Dr. Liu’s entry had the familiar fade-out transition, the others’ sounded like the characters said a couple of sentences in their native language and then switched to English. Of course, I know it isn’t so, but I personally prefer the fade-out version. (I’ve recced this audiodrama left and right this week and am eagerly waiting for their reactions because *reasons*.)

1. Thanks for the comment :) Huge grin to Kaitlin and myself! 2. We've been experimenting a bit this season with the 'people are having a conversation' scenes, trying to balance "too much Spanish" (fading adds another 4-5 seconds) while trying to be genuine (they really would insist that the bulk of everything be in Spanish IRL), with being really clear that Dr. Liu and Lucas are being left in the dark. The phrases are generally the same lines as the English, but in Spanish. I'm eager to read if your thoughts are mirrored by others.

I also prefer the fade. I realize that the extra time adds up, but I think the fade more accurately represents the fact that they are really conversing in Spanish.
