The White Vault Season... Updates (Patch Info + Livestream Events!) (Patreon)

Hey Everyone,Travis and Kaitlin here with a few updates, as the end of September rushes by us at light speed.

EVENTS NEXT WEEK:

Please join us at 9am EST on Thursday September 23rd (livestream) as we record a full orchestra for the Dark Dice soundtrack, as well as the new introduction theme for The White Vault. The session is expected to last ~4 hours. So, pop in for a bit or the whole thing!

The following morning - 11AM EST on Friday September 24th (livestream) we will record the choir tracks! The session is also expected to last ~4 hours.

We are BEYOND excited to be recording/livestreaming our orchestra and choir sessions next week from Budapest, which includes fantastic tracks by David Wise (Donkey Kong Country), Steven Melin, and Brandon Boone. We're recording over 200 pages of music over 2 days, to create over an hour of new audio! And, to make it all the better, Brandon Boone will be joining us in person next week. Travis & Brandon will be traveling to Budapest for the recording, and sharing their misadventures as often as they have WIFI.

Making the Music

Great music takes time and significant effort to create. Next week is the culmination of about 10 months of work from Brandon, David, Travis, Steven, and Steven Melin's extensive team, who have been putting all of the pieces together. From early audio sketches, to extended arrangements, to Works-in-Progress being added to & reworked, then finally transcribing every note onto the pages, every step is a significant process.

Over the last few weeks Travis also wrote lyrics for 13 songs, translating them into Infernal, Elvish (Quenya), Icelandic, and German with aid of Kessi, Eyþór, and Röandil. The lyrics are a mix of prayers, legends, and communal wisdom from the Dark Dice world, further expanding our world's lore.

Production At Full Speed

With our furniture assembled, we are already recording The White Vault's 5th season, with directed recording sessions in Mexico, Chile, Iceland, Sweden, England, Denmark, and Budapest... And that's only in the next week! This aims to be our most ambitious season yet, with the largest cast and a strong resolution to our largest and longest running show to date.  While we cannot disclose too much at this time about The White Vault, we're also simultaneously editing and releasing Avrum, Dark Dice, & VAST Horizon. It has been a BUSY few weeks...

[We take every small curve and adjustment seriously with our lettering - The "T" and the "I" are being adjusted to curve for our updated logo]

Don't MindMeanwhile, Kaitlin sits dramatically in front of a cork-board drinking tea next to the window. It's raining, and the words DON'T MIND are written at the top of the board, as dozens of plot-points are arranged by episode in front of her in a grid. Simultaneously, somewhere in the US, an artist named Abby Spence is making sketches for the show's cover art and lettering!... Also, did we mention that the Don't Mind podcast feed exists, and that you can already subscribe to it?

PublicationsWe just received the last piece of artwork for the (non-rushed) Platinum Update of Domain of The Nameless God. It is our hope to have it up before the end of the month. Meanwhile, in Atrius, Citizen Camacho was just given approval from the Department of Public Affairs to finish work on the 4th and final volume of our graphic novel series Liberty: Deception. Realistically the book will be released digitally in November (Amazon takes 2-3 weeks to approve new uploads), and it will showcase Corners, the Rocket Punks, and the even Archon herself.

[Just another evening dog walk... Now with 99.1% more topography!]

Personal Life & our new life in GermanyWe've been working a lot, and while we haven't taken enough time for ourselves just yet, we have gone on a few local hikes and got our "gaming PC" (a loose term) up and running enough to play Frostpunk for a few hours. We also took a night off last week to enjoy a movie called Underwater (2020), which we highly recommend if you like sci-fi and horror. We are working on our work-life balance, but as many of you know, this can be very difficult to accomplish.

Well, it's time for us to get back to it! We'll have more updates soon!
