Don't Mind: Cruxmont - Recording in London (Patreon)

On Tuesday afternoon, Daniel Demerin (voice of Sun Sanon Onroon) got on an airplane and woke up in London! He took the tube to a recording studio where he met up with Gemma Amor (Assistant Director & Cultural Consultant), David Ault (Walter Health, Iaus Innskeep), Erika Sanderson, and his costar, the one and only Adjoa Andoh!

Meanwhile in Germany, I (Travis, your humble director/producer) scrambled to get everything prepared for my first Zoom session where I would not only be directing Adjoa, but FOUR additional actors in a live read of the entire season! I've never live-directed more than 2 actors at a time, and that was quite the experience. It was made additionally exhilarating by the fact that we didn't have 10 episodes to get through, but 14(!) as this is an extended story. I was initially hoping to be present in person for the recording, but I'm still waiting on my visa, and couldn't travel. Steve Chase, our sound engineer, made the remote process seamless, and his experience really put all technical concerns out of mind.

David & Erika primarily voiced every character who was not Daniel or Adjoa, while Gemma listened for performance elements that were sometimes difficult to hear from 700 miles away. All in all, we recorded for a day and a half, concluding yesterday afternoon. We look forward to sharing Don't Mind with you next month!!!
