Update: The White Vault (Patreon)

Hey Friends,

A LOT has happened in the last month, and we'd like to share an important update.Those of you who listen to The White Vault may be aware that "a new cycle begins in October," and while we fully intend to create a brand new story that spans multiple seasons, it has become clear to us that we need to clarify what we mean:

A new supporter-exclusive miniseries for The White Vault is slated for release this October!  

Now, for the serious end of this. We (Kaitlin and Travis) are each already working well over 40 hours a week maintaining our existing stories slated for 2022.  While we will work on a new public story in the realm of The White Vault in the future, we don't feel comfortable trying to rush our 10 episode season out in the next 6 months. It wouldn't be the quality we want to produce, nor the quality you expect from Fool & Scholar.

The important bit -> Patreon is our primary source of income, practically our only source. It funds our ability to eat food, pay the talented people we work with, and tell the stories you want to hear. Our residency status and careers hinge on it.Simply put, since The White Vault ended, our Patreon has stagnated and we are potentially at risk of not being able to do what we do. This is a very scary prospect for us.

We are not expecting anyone to increase their support, but we're asking you to consider remaining a patron to support our new shows like Don't Mind, and give it a chance. Supporting us while your favorite show is on is fantastic, it's great, but supporting us during the off-season means supporting the production process itself. Also, if you've ever thought your friends or others you know might enjoy our content, now would be an amazing time to spread the Fool & Scholar love to help us out. Every recommendation helps. 

In addition to a new The White Vault miniseries, we will be releasing the rest of Don't Mind, wrapping up team B's story on Dark Dice, releasing The Boar Knight, and continuing to entertain you to the best of our ability, limited only by finite hours in a day. We have SO MANY delightful and terrifying stories to share with you, and appreciate you being the reason why we're able to tell those stories the way they're intended to be told; free from the influence of corporate overlords.

We know that we are taking a huge risk by not rushing head-over-heels to release out next story for The White Vault... But the story isn't ready, and won't be this year. 

Brief Housekeeping Updates:By popular request, we're in the process of getting approved for a new type of Patreon billing called "anniversary billing" whereby the day you join our Patreon is your billing date. We've been petitioning for this for awhile and hope to have this up and running in the coming months. Thank you for your patience, as this is otherwise out of our hands.

The US post office has randomly returned about fifty of our rocker patch letters (which had correct addresses and postage). We are in the process of figuring out what the issue is and getting them back out!

Brief Personal Updates:

Kaitlin & Travis both passed their (German) Driver's License tests! It's actually a really difficult test and we're glad to have it behind us.

Our residency application was tentatively approved! We'll soon be official residents of Germany, and can invest in things like rechargeable toothbrushes!

We've taken up recreational rock climbing as a hobby to keep active, though we wish we had more time for it.

Eezo gets to hang out with his local dog friends every few days and is enjoying his first German spring.
