Greetings Adventurers,

As our shows and stories writhe and change, we have taken your voices into account as we look at the future of Fool & Scholar. We are shifting our works to make Dark Dice a key part of our yearly lineup. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that, starting on June 20th, we will begin our third season of Dark Dice: Shores of the Silver Thrum.

This standalone, limited-run story is an unscripted horror adventure with unique elements that have never been previously attempted. If you don't normally enjoy D&D podcasts, you will still enjoy this tale of horror. Our brand and tone of terror (The White Vault, Don't Mind, Tales from the Tower) are sustained throughout the story, table-talk is removed, and there are scant references to the fact that this improvised podcast was originally a game at all! Key to the horror, no character is safe from the reaching terrors, and it is entirely possible that our story ends in tragedy. If you enjoy actual plays, this production represents the highest quality possible within the TTRPG space.

Shores of the Silver Thrum

Co-Written, Co-DM'd, Co-Narrated by Travis Vengroff & K.A. Statz of Fool & Scholar Productions.

"Shores of The Silver Thrum is our most horrific adventure yet."

Featuring an all new cast, including: Eric Nelsen (Yellowstone 1883, The White Vault), LilyPichu (Twitch and Youtube streamer, OTV), Jasper William Cartwright (Three Black Halflings), Sam Yeow (VAST Horizon, The White Vault: Iluka), Danilo Battistini (The White Vault), Sophie Yang (The White Vault, VAST Horizon), Florian Seidler, and Enrique Perez, with an introduction by Jeff Goldblum.

Also featuring an amazing cast bringing our NPC's to life, including Jack Falahee (How to Get Away with Murder, Mercy Street), Matt Gumley (Yu-Gi-Oh!), Felix Trench (Wooden Overcoats), Beth Eyre (The White Vault), Ciara Baxendale (Wooden Overcoats), Nichole Goodnight (NoSleep), and many more voices yet to be announced.

This season's soundtrack has been meticulously planned over the last three years, and is composed by Steven Melin, David Wise (Donkey Kong Country), Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy), Brandon Boone (NoSleep), and Ryan McQuinn (The Boar Knight).

We look forward to unveiling more details (and artwork) as we get closer to release! Our lovely Patreon supporters will also have early access to a number of things, including music and a pen & paper beta version of the adventure.Until then, never play games of fate...

Best news this month!!! Was wondering, have you considered sharing the uncut audio from the game? Would love to have the ability to listen to the raw recordings from the top of the table 😁

This will now be a constant thought in my mind until release. Can you say in what form it will be released?

Fool & Scholar Productions

The new season will release on the main Dark Dice feed, keeping our world of table-top horror together. And we will of course work on eventually publishing the module for players to bring home to their own terrifying tables.

I'm one of those people who don't love D&D podcasts so I'm a little disappointed we aren't getting more Liberty or Don't Mind just yet. But I am pleased it's a horror focused story and I know you guys do a great job of putting audiodrama production into your TTRPG shows. (I still loved Vigilance!)

I am so excited for this! Dark Dice is so incredible it got me interested in learning how to do audio editing so we could bring our own adventure to life. Thank you for being such a major inspiration!
