October Updates - Happy Halloween! (Patreon)

This is the quickest an October has passed us by.  First and foremost - Happy Halloween! May your ghouls and ghosts bear warmth and cider as they visit.

We had hoped to get Episode 2 of Season 6 uploaded today but we're still a bit behind...For those unaware it's been a bit of a turbulent month for us (click the link for more information), but we've been pushing ahead on the personal side. We're slowly rebuilding, and taking this sad event as an opportunity to better align our possessions with our current selves and future goals. This has taken up HOURS of every day.

As of the time of the above photo (October 18th) these two pieces were all the furniture we owned (outside of Eezo's dog bed). But since then we've since expanded this list. Thank you all for being understanding that we've needed extra time to build back, deal with insurance companies, and prep for our move (same town - just moving into our long term housing). We've received many kind notes and offers for help from friends, family, and acquaintances, so its important that we restate this so you don't worry about us:

Our basic needs are met. We'll have a (human) bed, internet, desks, and a functional kitchen by mid November, and are slowly but very intentionally choosing the rest of what we'll need.

The things we miss the most are those that made us happy but are not required. Things like books, art, photographs, board games, and mementos.

By giving us the benefit of time, and not leaving our Patreon (allowing us to have a stable work life) you're already doing so much for us.

Now to the fun stuff! We've actually done a lot this month, we've just not had a whole lot of time to celebrate it or share it with you all!

We have been nominated for a number of Audio Verse Awards! This is the easiest year ever to vote, and we've been nominated as The Boar Knight, and Dark Dice! We're also really proud to see many of our friends and collaborators make this list as well - with The Lucky Die, Counterbalance, Liars & Leeches, Old Gods of Appalachia, Chaika, and so many more! Help us celebrate and recognize the amazing people we work with, and also up and coming creators by voting today: https://audioverseawards.net/vote/

On the "invisible work" side of things, we've edited every episode description on our Youtube page, so full credits are now accurate and visible across every episode of every show. Dead links to old websites have been corrected as well. We also updated our IMDb pages for our newer shows, which were largely incomplete but now give full credit to our cast and crew! We've also revamped our own internal systems, organizing our Auditions and Contracts folders to make life easier for "future us."

Unnatural Horrors updates: Navigator (our editor) is reviewing the True Necromancer and has almost completed their first past (of two). Meanwhile Rue Dicky (Paizo) is also joining us as a sensitivity reader / rulemeister for the project and has already begun their review! Rue's contributions add an extra layer of realism to our sections on body horror, Sanity, and they have been helpful in streamlining these sections. Kaitlin and Travis have also begun work on sequel adventures, which they're looking forward to testing at D&D in a Castle later this month. One seat is still available!

Lastly, Eezo turned 8 this month, and it's the 11 year anniversary for Kaitlin & Travis! Eezo is upset at losing his old beds, but we made sure to get him new ones first and foremost. He will accept all birthday wishes with a wagging tail and loving puppy-dog eyes.

Happy Halloween!
