Here's a fun one, well, one where I tortured Alan Blackwell with another semi complex faceplate headed mech to model up. The body and legs also involve a fair bit of odd angles.

But the model came out great! Nice to see this one done after having it chopped from our redesign list in the kickstarter.

I posed it up in a nice warcrimes stance, ready to roast some infantry.

Ka-Wooosh! I always found this one pretty annoying with all the light anti infantry weapons but it's a fine scout, able to quickly cover its own retreat with some nice forest fires. ...or cities.

Never have wanted to play with a Firestarter more than now

David

that's hot! (see what I did there?) Can't wait to see this and many others appear in plastic (or metal)

Jordan G Roberts

Wowowow. 1st Fire Starter I've ever liked . Classic Alan Blackwell. Your teams doing killer work. :D

Alex F

Hunka hunka burning Firestarter

Nice! Now for the Whitworth, another one that got chopped… right? Right?!

Anonymous

Now that's a powerful stance. :D Just checking, is the first image (fancy render with URL) shareable?

Swen Decker

And again its ready for antennas. You sir are a true gentleman of mech warfare.

I will forever hold a grudge with the backers who are responsible for pushing this thing back. God, I can't wait till I get my Kickstarter stuff so Catalyst can start milking more money out of me with another one. I need three of these things for my Lyran, Capellan, and Commonwealth lists, stat. It's beautiful. Also, that duel wielding flamer pose is masterfully done. You can easily picture it with real flames; kinda makes me want to glue some on when Catalyst starts selling 'em later down the line.

Oh yeah, we're always making sure that when a design sketch has whip antenna that we model in mounts for them for when they go to mini, and making them chunky enough. Some of our early KS mechs didn't have chunky enough mounts.

ShimmeringSword

I think a few mechs were cut that were really likeable, but I also think that most of the additions were even more liked. It was a strong case of people being more mad that there was a chance, than none at all. Also in this specific case, I think it was the Firestarter Omni that was cut, so it's nice that we're coming back to a regular Firestarter here.

Robert Moore

Now if you can do the Cicada, Clint, Hermes, Hermes II, Quickdraw, Jagermech, Shogun, and the IMP and you will have all the mechs from Combat Manual Mercenaries lances! Just Saying! :-D

Robert Moore

And if you add to those above and do the Hatamo-Chi, Whitworth, Charger, and Wolftrap you will have all the mechs in the Combat Manual Kurita! :-D

I’m one of the ones who always hated the old firestarter model, love the proportions and pose on this one. Fantastic work!

Burning Chrome

Wow…😮. Can’t wait to see the Ostsol, Ostroc, Dervish, Vulcan, Vindicator…these minis just keep getting better.

Carlos Sempere

It looks amazing! Looking at the rear, though... does it really need a flamer when it has all those jump jets? (Not a question for the art department.)

Malintus

Sadly, jump jets are not enough to set woods hexes in your rear arc aflame

ShimmeringSword

Almost a universal issue with the treatment of flying mechs in games, outside of the occasional fiction mention they ignore we're dealing with rocket booster levels of trust. That much force will kill you in proximity, if not the burning then it'll be the shockwaves.

Rene

Would buy a Lance pack that has this mech in a heartbeat.

Kanrei13

Looks like a Commando and a Firestarter had a child. I like it.

BFenix

Even if the head differs a bit from the Mandalorian style helmet and the rear of the feet kinda look like inflatable life boats, this is still a great redesign!

James Bixby

love the pose, The one mech that should not be in a wide stance like "Come at me ya, clanner shites" is in said pose. this was a case of an upgrade to the design being very hard to do wrobng, you just needed to make sure the fusion bottles were on the arms.

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

That will defintiely make a nice replacement for that icky Raven in my Urban Lance. Victor, Enforcer, Hunchback and wicked Firestarter? Heck yeah!

Trevor R.N.

Excellent, love the background colouring for the 'mech.

Joe Wright

Protomech redo when?

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

I'd be all for it, but no one above us seems to feel there is a need, and from the fanbase don't see much push either. Probably would need a rules revamp among other things, first.

Damen DeLeenheer

This mech may be the most expensive one in the game for me. I love this mech and will get at least two, if not three.

Chris Miller

I can't wait for this one to available as plastic.!

Blacknight

No complaints here. You nailed the Firestarter look.
