Here's a BIG BOY. The Devastator.

While a bit of an odd pick, I was happy to work on this one as it's a design I'd been commissioned to illustrate maaaany years ago. Now I get to do a better job of it and make it official.

I'm curious though, does anyone here deploy this mech on the table?

Interesting choice. You go Skipjack.

That's a lot of dakka. I don't field one of these yet but I might after seeing this.

Oh god! Yes! My favourite 100 ton mech! I know a lot of mechs in the TRO's post 3050 don't a lot of love or attention, but there are many great mechs in there.

The Devastator is one of my favorites. It's hard to go wrong with 2 gauss rifles and 2 PPCs.

Nice! A personal favorite.

Burning Chrome

It lives up to its name. Devastators weathered a lot fire while laying down some heavy damage. Intimidating on the table top, especially “back in the day" of the MAC supplement.

Awww yis. My fav 100 ton. Davion at its Finest!

James Bixby

I have always wanted to deploy this.

I honestly didn't know about this Mech before today.

Matthew East

I do, I like the IWM sculpt I already have for the Davion Guards but I won't say no to another mini if it makes it that far!

The Devastator is one of my favorite IS mechs. Looks fantastic and I can't way to see more of this one!

Robert Moore

I face one just about every week in my Wednesday night AS game as well as deploy one every now and again 😉

Gorgeous work! I absolutely do field the Devastator with my Knights Errant regiment for House Davion. It's a great assault mech and very iconic!

ShimmeringSword

And the mini isn't terrible either. Though if I recall right, it falls into the usual "zero back detail" pile.

Jürgen Frey

Generally I am no fan of Assault Mechs because I find most of them not challenging enough. Mostly they are simply to slow for my preferred kind of playing BT. But the Devastator definitely has a place in my heart since the MAC Szenario book. I liked the look and the concept. I really appreciate that you took the Devastator one step further!

Yes I have 2 in my merc force. Piloted by twins. Diffently a good new look.

It looks pretty nice! I can't say I'm a fan of the head though. I know it matches the newer art, but proportional it just looks too small and too close to the Firestarter. I liked the head of your commission, or from the original TRO, a little bit better. But maybe it looks better as a miniature. It'll be fun to put compare this side-by-side with the other hundred-tonners when it comes out in miniature form.

Paul James

Nice! Never fielded one though, definitely wanted to. Waiting for a new sculpt for sure.

Swen Decker

Used it only in Megamek till now, because the mini... well you know. I like this version, but the head gives me some headaches. It could use something like a grey knight terminator head, more flat and angled. Looking again, it almost looks like a dervish in a powersuit. :D

Peter Shah

Looks like a nice refinement on the design! I did use one on the table fir a few years.

I field it with my Davion force. It's a solid mech in nearly all varients

MMM yes the 3rd child of Kerensky , after the atlas and king crab

Damen DeLeenheer

Once it makes its way into plastic you bet I will.

So hot!!!

Andrew McKenna

That thing looks awesome! I have fielded the twin gauss+ppc variant and it is glorious! I had a book moment where i was surrounded. 1 ppc here, 1 gause to another mech, then a ppc and gauss to yet another.... blaze of glory!

Bolththrower

Looks nice! Love to field one of these bad boys. This new model will absolutely see use on my gaming table.

Kanrei13

Sweet! I've always had good luck using one.

Andrew Smith

I run two of them but would gladly replace them with this design! Fantastic work

The DRT

YES! A mech I've wanted for so long :D

Mitchell Berthelson

I've used it frequently. Will definitely need this new one for SLDF games.

Richard A Spake

Yup. one of my units has one that we had almost converted into a dual cockpit to act as the Liaison 'mech that carried our House Mercenary Relations Liaison into battle. We later did this using a Raven instead (to have a fast stealthy mech equipped with everything needed to record EVERYTHING on the battlefield). It's something i've wanted to do is design a purpose built Liaison Mech that would had originally been used by the SLDF/HAF in their role as a "neutral" third party observer to keep an eye out for "war crimes" and the like. Already had a name for the first one used by the SLDF... the "Chaperone." i just can't decide what it looked like, a friend said to take the look of the Chameleon as the base since it would have been in abundance numbers and many having already been equipped with dual cockpits since it was a training 'mech!

Jeffery Smith

I use these in my davion units. Have thought about adding one to com star.

Use as part of my 1st Kestrel Grenadiers.
