Here's an odd one that a few of you requested. Anyone surprised that we've actually worked on one? :)
This was needed for something special so it landed on my plate to push out.

Alan Blackwell and I collaborated on this one. He got it started while I did the second half of dialing it in.

We did further changes later on in the process too, so some elements here change in the final, such as some differing arm laser details, and more tube shaped antenna rather than fins.

I think it's such a weird mech, but here you go.

I appreciate that the blade antennas make it look less insect-like.

I gotta admit that I'm not a fan of the huchback look there. OTOH, I didn't see this one coming at all

Mark D Booth

I really want to know what this and alot of the other redesigned mechs are going into with the Rec Guides ending, have to wait and see.

I fully admit to being heavily biased because the Wraith is just my absolute favorite Mech, but I love the smooth lines of the original. I also preferred the old Mercury over the new–the only redesign I didn't prefer–so maybe that says something about my love for smooth curves. My simultaneous love for classic Corvettes might inform my preferences somewhat.

This is amazing. Looks so good

Ok this is getting silly now ,i want them all is there any info hints hell i will take clairvoyance readings at this point.

KaiserDunk

You make the Wraith look good.

Rant winters

Well it would be hard to consider this one a watercooler on legs...

Henning Boessler

I'm also surprised you worked on this. The Wraith is one of my favourites and imho it always looked good. But now it's even better and got a mean look. Just love it!

Robert Moore

Can’t wait to see this one in plastic! Great Job Sir! Go great in a Liao Lance pack

TIM STRAUVEN

@ Dan ; please note that Anthony says several changes were made later in the design process (could be at the 3D rendering stage ?) and that we'll get "...more tube shaped antennae rather than fins". This one came completely out of the blue for me, but kudos to Alan and Anthony !

Another boxset I'd assume. Interesting, means any 'Mech is on the table for a refresh I suppose.

Yankee Air Pirate

Great job keeping the weird, nimble essence of the Wraith while updating the design. Given the fact that a well-played Wraith is always in motion, though, I hope the model is given a more dynamic pose.

Dan

I like the fin-antenna. Makes a nice change from the ones everywhere else. Digging the LPL still looking lance-like on the right arm.

Kanrei13

Damn, that's nice! I've always loved the Wraith.

The Wraith looks great.

James Bixby

oh my stars and garters it is beautiful! it's like a Battlemech designed by Enzo Ferrari!

Swen Decker

The fin antenna pretty much nails the overall asthetics of the mech.

Robert Moore

I think a nice Christmas gift to all the fans would be to see the Whitworth and Hermes II which would round out 3025! Just Saying!

Aaron Thurston

What's the best way to provide input on what to work on, if there is any? Just comment and make suggestions on the latest posts? Is there a discord? Sorry new to Patreon, Anthony is the first person I have become a patron of.

Andrew Wiesner

Woo hoo! The Wraith is one of my favorite designs from 3055. I hope it makes it to plastic soon!

Mitchell Berthelson

Absolutely awesome.....though I will have a tendency to say "Repositioning....." every time I jump the thing. :)

You can make suggestions here as far as what mechs you'd like to see, but considering the way the company runs you're almost guaranteed to have no effect on what gets done :) Feel free to give all the feedback you want those, including critiquing design choices. Stuff likely wont change on a specific design, but I keep feedback in mind for the future.

The more ive read about the Wraith the more I’m loving it. Hope to see it in plastic reality aoon

Pete Moles

Definitely a less expected choice with a decent metal and a leap ahead in time for IS. Looking forward to this era of mechs getting facelifts, but hope the powers that be know there’s demand for the older ones not yet touched (cough Mauler cough Whitworth cough Kintaro cough etc.)

Pete Moles

I know a few people who are grateful for that. Hoping they give you the greenlight as Christmas present, you’re Mauler is going to look great.
