Here's the Ostsol. Ostroc coming up next. Alan Blackwell handled the sculpting stage on all of them.

This one first came up for redesign when CGL needed it on the cover of a novel. Toppled over with those kids crawling all over it :D

The heavy Ost-bros both went from tragically dorky to respectable-looking fighting machines, but I can still never unseen the "face" of a 1950's Italian car in the torso of the Ostsol.

Ohh, what novel is it? I'd love to see the cover!

Bolththrower

Can't wait for the Ost's to be out as physical models. Always wanted to run a Ost lance.

I won't lie, it took me until I saw the Rec Guide art to finally figure out it was the redesigned Ostsol those kids were climbing all over lol. I'd sit there for hours pouring through images trying to discern what Mech it was and slowly drive myself mad as I always came up short XD

Burning Chrome

Excellent work. Really appreciate how the rear arc medium lasers look and the blade antennae configuration. Funds ready for mini.

ShimmeringSword

Hah. Yeah without knowing what mech it was ahead of time I don't think anyone could call it. I guess unless you read the book and that scene is clearly described. I haven't read it myself.

Chris

I have a need for the two heavy Ost mechs now. The biggest missing link in my collection other than those redesigned quads.

Aaron Thurston

Why were these ever considered unseen? They look nothing like the Zentreadi pods from Macross/Robotech. I never saw any resemblance.

ShimmeringSword

Everything went, even non robotech. And as the final lawsuit HG attempted shows, they really were ready to sue over anything, even stuff not based on their IP.

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

it was as close as the Valkyrie, Incubus or some other Unseen. if you look at the Unseen TRO 3025 art from Loose, it was pretty literally a Regult Battlepod with it's knees reversed. Put the SRM4 paddles of the Ostroc art, it was again, a Heavy Artillery Regult with reversed knees (and the lasers nubbed), while the very confusing Ostroc mkII literally used the Macross art. Even the Ostscout had regult feet and pod body, though the head and arms made it the least directly connected.

Robert Moore

Speaking of the Ostroc will be able to see the 3d Sculpt this week? I am needing my fix!

Sapphirus

Once the miniature is released, just for lols, I'll paint it up as Dr. Eggman :P
