Sorry for the slow month everyone. I may be able to squeeze in a final post or two for the year still, but I'll be away from home so no guarantees.

The Loki Mk II was called on. A bit of an odd pick but I was glad to see it done as it allowed me to retcon away the situation of a new mech looking drastically worse than the original haha.

I took my original Loki sketch and drew over it, pulling in details from the Mk II that I felt worked, and also grabbed details from the MW4 Loki as that seemed to have inspired the original II a bit also.

I think people will find the pack this goes into quite interesting.

Really looking forward to this one in Legendary Mechs II!

This one has me conflicted. It's a great piece of art an a good looking design, but I have never been particularly enthusiastic about all the MkII / Mk III designs. They always seemed like they only existed to patch gaps in art direction between companies.

Was not expecting this one, but thank you for fixing it. I'm wondering what's next...

Oh God, more Dark Age. Give me MOAR

Thanks for the share, Anthony! Hope you had a good holiday and are getting some well deserved time off!

This is worlds, WORLDS better than the IWM casting. If this is how the Hel will look as a mini, I look forward to seeing the Grand Summoner get a makeover

Are you able to describe the strategy/direction moving forward when it comes to mech refreshes. I understand we just started the ilClan era and Catalyst probably wants to focus on developing that, which means more Dark Age and Jihad Era Mech refreshes like the Loki MkII, as well as the Eris and Hammerhead Direct Order Mechs. However, there are a lot of fan favorites from Mech Commander (Razorback, Stiletto, Sha Yu, Men Shen, Lao Hu, Blood Asp, Anubis, Hollander) and Mechwarrior (Argus, Thanatos, Hellspawn, Owens, Sunder, Chimera, Hauptmann, Fafnir, Templar, Osiris, Mauler, Mad Cat MkII, Arctic Wolf) computer games. There are also the IS Omnimechs (Avatar, Raptor, Strider) and the Word of Blake Celestial Omnimechs. If you are allowed/authorized to say, after the Mercenaries Kickstarter will we see a balance of revisions from across the eras? or will it focus on particular Eras?

I'm never quite sure where CGL is going to lead me for redesigns. I definitely want to hit more of the fedcom / videogame mechs that we all love, including the omni's, and likewise I'd also enjoy revamping the celestials if CGL decides to reinvigorate jihad era play (plus everyone would enjoy a new Legacy model). But whether we focus fedcom or ilclan next, I don't know. As the post hints, this one goes into an interesting pack, so don't read too much into the era it comes from :)

I would love to see a redesigned Ryoken II! Ugly mech that one, but its even more horrendous kit makes it somewhat charming to me.
