Hellomy dear patrons,

Looking back on the year 2021, I can say in one word: "I wanted to draw more!" That's it! I say that every year! XD

Health

But I think I was able to draw more than usual. Especially in the first half of 2021, I think I was able to continue drawing without any major health problems. Since the fall, I've been very sick and my schedule has been terrible. I also panicked because I didn't expect to have a back pain.

Next year I plan to take a couple of weeks off in June and November. (Also, I'll probably get my third dose of vaccines in the spring.) I want to avoid getting sick a lot by taking frequent and proper breaks.

Uploading data for December

So, I'll be taking 3 days off from January 1st to 3rd, which is a national holiday in Japan. Uploading the scanned data will be a little delayed, sorry! I will be uploading it during those 3 days.

I want to do an IRL walk stream from my new iPhone, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm going to do a test stream first, and if it looks okay, I'll start aiming for once or twice a month.

Language Learning

I don't know how much progress we've made specifically, but we've learned a lot in 2021! In 2022, I will focus more on listening practice. In 2022, I will focus more on listening practice, and I will continue to study English, Spanish, German and Russian! (Priority: English = Spanish >>> German > Russian)

Drawing activities

The biggest thing that happened to me in 2021 was meeting the "wonderful watercolor paper!" Now that I've found some good paper, I'm enjoying watercoloring more and more! Finding a good paper has also helped me discover the good things about the paper I used to use.

In 2022, I would like to paint small works as well as larger works and sell the original paintings.

I feel like I'm saying this every time, but I'd like to make more time for drawing manga. I've been having so much fun with watercolor that I've barely been able to draw manga in 2021. I need to start working on something I've been warming up to for years! I want to finish the manga I'm working on! I'd like to set up a better digital environment, because the dialogue and tone work is digital, but that has been very physically demanding and a pain in the backside.

Without your support, I wouldn't have been able to continue drawing so happily!

Thank you very much for your support this year.

I hope you have a happy new year.

本年は大変お世話になりました。

良いお年をお迎えください!
