Hello dear my patrons,
March has begun!
In Tokyo, the temperature is much warmer and there is a smell of spring in the air.
The smell of spring is accompanied by the smell of pollen allergy. Happy but sad! XO
After the 3rd dose of the vaccine, I had a high fever of over 38 degrees Celsius for more than a day, even though I was taking antipyretics. I get tired easily and cannot stay at my desk for long time. This always happens after a high fever.
I was supposed to return to the stream this weekend. I was very scared to make a long term gap in my activities.
But I decided to take a longer break because the fever was higher than I had imagined and my body ached as much as I had imagined it would depress me. All the while wallowing in a high fever!
Posts here may be more random than usual until next week and the week after. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Such a start to March, but after taking enough rest, I'm hoping to get back to lots of painting! I hope you enjoy itβ€
I thought about many things as I lay there. I felt a little closer to the demand and the direction I wanted to go. I had set a goal for this year to do a comic stream once a week, but I am thinking of increasing it to twice. Maybe not every week, but I will increase the frequency.
And I drew storyboards for several cartoons of about 4 pages. I would like to draw more and more of these things.
The 3 page manga I drew for Twitch's 3rd anniversary was open to the public in its entirety from the beginning.
But from now on, except for manga that don't represent a specific day, I will release them here a week to a month in advance. And full size images will be uploaded only for supporters. Same as weekly manga pages!
I wanted to show you that the plum trees were blooming so beautifully, but I couldn't get a good shot of them. Instead, March 3 was "Hina matsuri" the Dolls' Festival, so I am sending you a photo of the "Hina ningyo (dolls)" that were on display at the vaccination center.
My parents had similar hina dolls. One for me, one for my aunt, and one for my father. Generally, it is "Girls' Day", but some families decorate another doll for boys (I forgot who it was, but it was dressed as a ζ¦ε£« Bushi).
And in my hometown, we celebrated on April 3, not March 3. That is the lunar calendar. Tanabata is the same, usually on July 7, but we used to go on August 7. There are such regional differences in Japan.
Hope you all are having a good March!
And have a great weekend!
